SWIM LESSONS! We did Mom and Tot last year where Mom gets in the pool with her child so I was shocked to learn that the three year olds get a teacher and have no Mamma in the pool! They really knew me by the time class started because I asked so many questions about the class. Class size is never larger than four and it lasts for 30 minutes.

I am convinced that our homeschooling for preschool is affecting the development of Julian's personality and character. He is simply the most ebullient child in his class. I'm not kidding. For the whole 30 minute session he is smiling and laughing and animated from beginning to end. And you know how people say you need to send your kid to preschool so that they can learn how to follow instructions? This was Julian's first class (without me) and it proved that he can follow instructions exceedingly well. Learning to follow instructions and to recognize and obey authority is learned in the home, in the family, not in preschool. Period.
