'Gloucester Village Populations' by Alicia C Percival, 1972, has for Horsley, Communicants in 1551 - 217, in 1603 - 400, in 1676 - ?, and in 1650 there are 200 families. If each house has an average of 2 adults, the Hearth figures of 100 houses appears to be under the Percival figures.

B=E 178 247/14, for 1671, C=E 178 247/13 for 1672
188 entries transcribed, which appear to belong to 143 individuals with about 100 houses.
In 1671 54 names are on the list of those exempt from paying the tax. The taxable list contained 53 houses which had 136 hearths
In 1672 80 names 202 hearths, total 230, missing are a dozen homes with 28 hearths
This suggests the village contained about 100 houses. About 40 gain a new 'Master or Mistress' during the year between the two lists.
The numbers are only a counting aid.
