First Stop:

"Wee Care Day Care"
Bridgeport, Connecticut

When Cinnabear visited Wee Care Day Care, we made a photo album for her and had a Tea Party.  She was very well behaved, the "perfect guest"!!!!  The children cuddled and hugged her often.

We read several bear books while she was here and did a few bear activities.

Second Stop:

"Nang Day Care"
Saipan

Cinnabear arrived at Nang Day Care on Chinese New Year, and  participated in our little parade in the yard, wearing a lion mask  She thought it was hot here-having come from winter in the states.  During the days she was here, she followed the kids around through their activities, swinging and sliding on the swing set, doing arts and crafts, singing songs.  We had a teddy bear tea party for Cinnabear--the kids brought their teddies from home so Cinnabear had lots of friends--and the kids drank tea with honey (mmm!), ate cookies and wore hand-made teddy bear ears.  Cinnabear's last day in Saipan included a field trip to the
beach.  Lots of swimming in the "Philippine Sea" [or is that still part of the Pacific Ocean?] (Cinnabear stayed out of the water--didn't think salt water would do her coat a lot of good!) and hunting for shells and crabs.   Hugs and kisses goodbye.

Fourth Stop:

Denmark, Wisconsin

Cinnabear was hugged by all the children and a few times by me, I might add. She took turns sleeping with each child at nap time. A photographer from the local newspaper came and took a picture and wrote a very nice article about her travels. Our theme for the week was bears. We ate cinnamom graham crackers, for snack one day and even had gummy bears on cupcakes for her going away party. The parents were interested in seeing all the souvenirs in Cinnabear's box before she left too.

Seventh Stop:

Apple Tree Preschool & Child Care Center
Sioux City, IA

I received Cinnabear on April 23rd and took her to Apple Tree Preschool and Child Care Center where I work.  It was child appreciation day and all of the children and Cinnabear received a pair of sunglasses.  Cinnabear got to spend the weekend with two of my students, Tori (8) and Colton (6).  They are sister and brother and one of the aides from the daycare was babysitting them for the weekend.  Cinnabear got to see several soccer games, go to the mall and go out to eat at Pizza Hut and McDonald's.

Our theme was about butterflies, so Cinnabear learned all about the life cycle of a butterfly and got to watch the children make several crafts.

Sioux City is proud to have a couple of factories who are well known for their products.  One is American Pop Corn Company who makes Jolly Time Popcorn.  The other is Palmer Candy Company who makes Twin Bing.  We included a sample of each of these products in Cinnabear's package.  Hopefully, they make it back to Roxanne's.

We had a great time with Cinnabear.  The parents were even great!  One of our parents brought Cinnabear a badge and made her a Junior Deputy of Woodbury County.

We have 42 children in our afternoon class, so Cinnabear received alot of love.
