John G.² Hughes (George¹) was born on August 1, 1840 in North Carolina, son of George Washington Hughes and Sarah Paschal.⁴^,¹^,¹⁵ He married Susana Hanna, daughter of Jeremiah Cassidy Hanna and Mary A. B. Watson, on January 17, 1861 in Washington County, Arkansas. He died on November 1, 1918 in Bell County, Texas , at age 78.¹⁶ He was buried in Holland Cemetery, Bell County, Texas; in Section H, on the same stone with Susanna Hanna Hughes.¹⁶^,¹⁷ His estate was probated on February 3, 1919 in Belton, Bell County, Texas; The State of Texas No. 1485:

He died on March 8, 1907 in Brentwood, Washington County, Arkansas , at age 63. He was buried in Black Oak Cemetery, Brentwood, Washington County, Arkansas.

Daniel² Hughes (George¹) was born on September 7, 1850 in Hawkins County, Tennessee , son of George Washington Hughes and Sarah Paschal; In an affidavit of 8 October 1867 Nancy Hobbs states that she "was present at the birth of Danial and of this I am positively certain for I dressed the child for the first time and remember every little circumstance distinctly".³⁶ He married Hannah Isabelle Williams on March 6, 1873 in Washington County, Arkansas. He died on June 24, 1877 in Washington County, Arkansas , at age 26.³⁷ He was buried in White House Cemetery, Arnett, Washington County, Arkansas.

Samuel² Hughes (George¹) was born on September 22, 1852 in Hawkins County, Tennessee , son of George Washington Hughes and Sarah Paschal; In an affidavit of 12 August 1867 by Sarah Hughes, witnessed by John G. Hughes, Thomas G. Hughes, and Thomas H. Hughes, Sarah states there is no public or baptismal record of birth. She further stated that Nancy Hobbs, deceased, attended the birth as midwife.³⁸ He married Abigale Paschal, daughter of Ezekiel Paschal and Mary Williams, on November 24, 1873 in Washington County, Arkansas.³⁹ He died on February 16, 1924 in Washington County, Arkansas , at age 71.⁴⁰^,⁴¹ He died on February 16, 1926 in Brentwood, Washington County, Arkansas , at age 73.³⁹ He was buried in White House Cemetery, Arnett, Washington County, Arkansas.⁵^,⁴².

Hughes, Thomas G. Hughes, and Thomas H. Hughes, Sarah states there is no public or baptismal record of birth. She further stated that Martha Williams attended the birth.³⁸ She married Samuel A. Hanna, son of Jeremiah Cassidy Hanna and Mary A. B. Watson, after 1874.⁴⁹
