It is with a very heavy heart that I say this. We had to put Remington down in August of 98! He was purchased for a 4-H dog, and for some reason, turned out to be to *hard* of a dog for that! We aren't sure what snapped in Remmi, and why. This dog was VERY well socialized, OB trained, around kids all his life, even took first place in an AKC show. When we first started to notice his personality changes, I consolted several professionals, and had him up for sale. After months of let downs, and people backing out, we had no other choice. Remington was laid to rest just 2 wks before he would of been a yr. old. When you have several police officers, and a SchH trainer tell you that the dog is "to mean" for their type of work, you know something is wrong.
Remington will always be in our hearts, because to family, he was a wonderful dog. He is currently buried on our farm under the fruit trees.

My name is AA's Remington von der HoyleHaus, or Remmi for short! My new mom names me after her kennel name, Abintra Afortori, which means "from within, with stronger reason", and Remington is from their son that passed away in 1991, and my breeders last name is Hoyle. I will do my best of carry the full name with pride!
Well everyone, I'm finally at my new home. I have actually been here for about 2 weeks now, but my new mom was sick and couldn't get back to update my page. My new owners have been spoiling me rotten. Mom took me to the vet, and he said that I was just WONDERFUL! And mom has been taking me everywhere that she can! I sleep in this box at night, but during the day, mom lets me basically run the house. She always follows me around. (psssst....I'm thinking of buying her a leash so I can keep her closer!!) Mom is so proud that I already go to the door when I have to go potty. I still have a few accidents in the house, but that's only when the kids don't act fast enough to let me out. I have lots to play with, but my favorite things are mom German Shepherd Slippers! *grin* My two legged kids are fun too, but they don't like it when I try and bite them. That's really the only time that mom really gets onto me, and tell me 'NO' in a real deep voice. But that's ok....Because she is always telling me that she loves me! *grin*
Well, mom finally got my pedigree in. She had alot of problems with it, and used alot of words that I don't think I should repeat, but it's finally done!
