June was our first meeting. There were 7 Moms present with over 15 children. We had a lunch buffet and plenty of playground equipment in the backyard for the kids. We opened in prayer and I handed out an "agenda" that had suggestions, ideas, etc that I had gathered from various people.
I volunteered to do all the administrative work for the time being. One Mom volunteered to be in charge of field trips. One Mom will be doing the minutes. One Mom that works at the church will do all that involves the church. Everyone has helped tremendously in one way or another.
Many topics were covered like different curriculum, meetings, art & P.E. classes, new parents participating, monthly field trips.
A sign-in roster was set out and a directory listing of all those in the group. Some Moms who have e-mail correspond to each other from time to time. The internet is also great for finding things on homeschooling.
We closed the meeting in prayer and planned our next meeting in July .
