Able to leap tall canines in a single bound, Herb is the kind of fella who is ready to take on the world... Never willing to sit still or loaf, he needed an owner who embraces life and appreciates a little hyper-activity every now and then. I had to move to adopt Herb quickly...he doesn't generally sit still long! Adopted May 1998

Derf T. Frog
When I worked at Zion National Park in 1973 I learned to love frogs. We saw them all the time and they are so nice and friendly. Well, after I left to go to college, one night we went on a date to Zion. I had been homesick for Zion Park (and usually get that way once or twice a year) and my date was understanding.
We gathered up a few frogs as we were walking around the Park. Then, I needed to "hit" the restroom. What to do with the frogs! I wasn't about to let them go, since we weren't ready to leave yet. Well, being resourceful and since it was late at night, I put them into one very clean toilet and I took care of business on the other. Well, they were there waiting for me and we enjoyed the rest of our evening.
I have loved frogs ever since and am glad to adopt my little buddy Derf T. Frog. Adopted June 1998
