Yes, We do school at home! We have been (formally) homeschooling for 3 years now as my eldest is in 2nd grade. Many friends have been homeschooling much longer so we have been involved in "homeschool activities" since Amanda was born.

I went to college to be a teacher and so was orginally sort of taken aback when in my Senior year of college all my friends from church felt led to homeschool. Originally I was insulted ( as if their decision had anything to do with me). God, however, works in perfect ways and this was just the beginning of a working in both my husband and I that homeschooling was for us.

Just the other day I heard a commercial in which a lady urged parents to go talk to their teacher about their child because, "Who knows your child better than your teacher?" The sick reality of this is only one of the reasons that we have chosen to homeschool. We want to know and raise our children- ourselves! That is God's perfect way for us!!
