She is a big dog with a sweet disposition and a big heart!

After we lost Bristol the house seemed unusually quiet.Oskar, our Siamese, seemed at a loss. Still it took us a while to think about getting another dog.

It wasn't until my very good friend adopted a dog that we realized we really missed having a dog around.

We found her in Canada. She was in the same foster home that my friend's dog came from. I had told the lady who cared for the dogs that I was looking for a large but friendly animal and this dog fit the bill. Large she was! At not yet 3 years old she stood 31 inches at the shoulder! We were told she was a mix of St. Bernard and Lab but looking at her I figured it was Great Dane and not Lab. The first time we saw her she rolled over on her back to be scratched. I guess it was love at first sight. She was a real sweetheart.

Chloe in the backyard

She loved riding in a car so the ride home was no problem. We brought her in the house and Oskar took one look at this huge animal and spent the next 3 weeks in the basement! Little by little Oskar decided that this new dog wasn't going to hurt him and they soon tolerated each other. In a short time Oskar was his old self showing the new comer what the house rules were according to Oskar.

Just woke up from a nap

When our not quite 2-year-old grand daughter Adriana came with her mother to visit us Chloe was a joy. She let the child sit next to her and hug her as if the two of them had been together all the time. Adriana would take Chloe's toys and not give them back. Chloe would sit in front of Adriana looking at the toy and hoping the child would drop it. Even sitting Chloe was taller than Adriana but it didn't bother the little one a bit. She had a Lab at home and was use to big dogs..

Adriana gives Chloe a kiss

We have had Chloe now for 8 months and she still is a sweet lovable dog. She has made herself at home and enjoys all the petting she gets.

After Bristol with his wonderful temperament I didn't think I would find another dog that was as sweet, but I was wrong. Chloe proves this to us every day.
