Sometimes we stopped for lunch in parks near the road like we did here in Nevada (see the little sign that says "Welcome to Nevada"). It was really hot out in the desert so you will have a hard time finding me but you can be sure if Mom is cooking, Cookie is not far away.
After camping in Carson City, we drove past Mono Lake and on to Yosemite National Park. This was before the big flood. There was snow at Yosemite even in July!
The box by the tent is to hide food from the bears but we had no four-legged visitors at all. To bad, I would have impressed them with my barking. I had to stay on a leash the entire time I was in the park. Can you find me in the picture on the left? Hint: I'm near the picnic table (food) and the grill (more food).

Here's another place I was not allowed to play. I would have liked to go swimming in the waterfalls but had to settle for a walk in the Village.
These huge trees are called Sequoias and are much, much older than I am. I would have liked this hike too, but dogs are not allowed on any of the trails in Yosemite. I think it's because we might scare away all the bears!
