His Will

Your will be Done.
If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
As Christians we are to operate in the spiritual world as part of our daily life. We call things forth through prayer. We lay hands on the sick. When we tithe our finances go further. Some churches teach praying in an 'angelic' language and modern day prophecy. But whatever your church teaches there is no getting away from it; by definition a Christian is a spiritual person.

So how do we make sense of the many prohibitions against spiritual activities found in the scriptures? The casting of spells, fortunetelling, and familiarity with spirits are strictly forbidden over and over again. Are the actions themselves important or is there something else God is looking for?

I believe God's purpose for our lives in to develop his heart within us.Everything in this world, the good bad and ugly, is designed through God's wisdom to accomplish this.

We must bring our lives under his lordship and guidance. We are no longer to be private citizens doing our own thing but soldiers in his army ready to do as he commands. "Not my will but yours be done" should be our daily prayer. By living a life in God's wisdom, we will find his heart and make it our own.

Witchcraft is to operate in the spiritual realm outside of the authority of God. "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft." The person who does such things is in rebellion against God.

God wants us to function in the spiritual areas. As in any other part of our lives, we are to bring these activities under his submission. When we ask for things according to his will, he promises to answer us. Those are the only prayers worth praying.
