Chocolate Pie
1-1/3 cups sugar
3 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons cocoa
3 egg yolks (keep whites for topping)
1 large can Pet milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 unbaked deep dish pie crust
1/2 cup sugar
In a mixing bowl combine sugar, flour, & cocoa
Mix well
Add egg yolks (keep whites for merangue)
Gradually add milk stirring until well blended
Add vanilla
Pour into unbaked pie crust
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes
Remove pie from oven
Beat egg whites until stiff adding 1/2 cup sugar for merangue
Cover pie with merangue & bake at 400° until lightly browned.
