Steak Soup


Ingredients:
1 pound coarsley ground beef, browned and drained
3 cups water
1 medium onion, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
2 carrots, sliced
1 (14.5 oz) can tomatoes
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 (10 oz) package frozen mixed vegetables
2 to 4 tbsp. beef base granules
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup flour


Put all ingredients except butter and flour in crockpot. Cover; cook on Low 8 to 12 hours (High: 4 to 6 hours). One hour before serving, turn to High. Make a paste of 1/2 cup melted butter and 1/2 cup flour. Stir until smooth. Pour into crockpot; stir until thickened.
