English Chutney (1911) Ingredients: 1 pound tart apples 1 1/2 pounds ripe tomatoes 1 dozen small red peppers 2 small white onions 1 quart vinegar 1/2 pound seeded raisins 6 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons mustard 1 pound white sugar handful of mint Mix all together in an earthen jar.
