PAT A CAKE
Pat a cake, pat a cake, baker's man! (Clap four
times in rhythm)
Bake ma a cake as fast as you can. (Cup hands)
Pat, and dot it, and mark it with a B, (Pantomime this action)
And put it in the oven (Extend both hands)
For Baby and Me (Point to child and then to self)

BATH TIME
After a bath, I try, try try
To wipe myself dry, dry, dry. (rub upper arms with hands)
Hands to wipe and fingers and toes. (hold hands out, palms up, then point to toes)
Two wet legs and a shiny nose. (hands on thighs, then point to nose)
Just think how much less time I'd take
If I were a dog and could shake, shake, shake. (shake body)

TEN LITTLE FINGERS
I have ten little fingers and they all belong to me.
(hands upright)
I can make them do things, would you like to see?
I can shut them up tight; (shut them up into fists)
Or open them wide. (open them wide)
I can put them together, or make them all hide. (close fists together)
I can make them jump high. (swing hands above head)
I can make them go low. (swing hands down low)
I can fold them up quietly and hold them just so. (place in lap)

WHEN I AM...
When I am sad, I want to cry. (rub eyes)
When I am proud, I want to fly. (extend arms outwards, and fly)
When I am curious, I want to know. (scratch head, puzzled, wave hand as if to teacher)
When I am impatient, I want to go. (cross arms, tap foot)
When I am bored, I want to play. (yawn, look around)
When I am happy, I smile all day (grin)
When I am shy, I want to hide. (peer over shoulder with the back to others)
When I am puzzled, I want to shrug. (shrug)
When I am loving, I kiss and hug. (hold arms out and draw in, as if hugging someone)

ALL OF ME
See my eyes. (point to eyes)
See my nose. (point to nose)
See my chin. (Touch chin)
See my toes. (Touch toes)
See my waist. (Hands on waist)
See my knee. (Touch a knee)
Now you have seen all of me! (Raise arms)

EENSY, WEENSY SPIDER
Eensy, weensy spider (Opposite thumbs and point finger)
Climbed up the water-spout. (Climb up each other)
Down came the rain (wiggle fingers while bringing hands down)
And washed the spider out. (Hands sweep out)
Out came the sun (Arms form circle overhead)
And dried up all the rain (Arms sweep upward)
And eensy, weensy spider
Climbed up the spout again (Opposite thumbs and pointer finger climb up each other)

BEES
Here is a beehive (Hands cupped)
Where are the bees?
Hidden away where nobody sees.
Now they come creeping out of the hive
One, two, three, four, five. (extend fingers one by one)
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

SANTA
When Santa comes down the chimney (Downward motion
with hands)
I should like to peek (Peek through fingers)
But he'll never come, no never (Shake head)
Until I'm fast asleep (Palms together beside head)

CHOO-CHOO TRAIN
this is a choo-choo train (Bend arms at elbows)
Puffing down the track. (rotate forearms in rhythm)
Now it's going forward, (Push arms forward; continue rotating motion)
Now the bell is ringing, (Pull bell cord with closed fist)
Now the whistle blows, (Hold fist near mouth and blow)
What a lot of noise it makes. (cover ears with hands)
Everywhere it goes.

TWO LITTLE DICKY BIRDS
Two little dicky birds sitting on a wall (Fingers
horizontal thumbs stand up)
One named Peter, the other named Paul. (Wiggle thumbs as named)
Fly away, peter, fly away Paul (Flutter hands behind back)
Come back Peter, come back Paul (Bring hands back as before)

TEN LITTLE FINGERS
I have ten little fingers and ten little toes (Children
point to portions of body as they repeat words)
Two little arms and one little nose.
One little mouth and two little ears.
Two little eyes for smiles and tears.
One little head and two little feet.
One little chin, that's (Child's name) complete.
