To practise my flying lessons I spend a lot of time behind my computer I've on my computer several flightsims, like Flightsim 2002, Fly 2 and Xplane. Those flightsims are pretty real so it is like real flying. You can see on the picture below that I've a set of pedals, a collective and cyclic. I've us the Thrustmaster attack throttle system for that and I've tryed to make it like as in a real Robinson R22.
I've also 2 monitors one for the view and the other one for the instument panel. The next step is to try to get something like radio communication, avionics.
You can find on the internet a lot of add-on for several flight sims, like other aircrafts, scenery and airfields.
