Succeeded his brother Wilhelm Ludwig as Count of Nassau-Dillenburg, June 9th n.s., 1620 on which occassion he ceded Beilstein and the Westerwald to his brother Ernst Kasimir and Mengerskirchen and Dehrn to his brother Johann Ludwig.
