Silly Putty

Combine 1 cup Elmer's white glue and 1 cup liquid starch. Turns into a rubbery strange substance that kids love!

Add a small amount of dry tempera paint to 1 cup of liquid starch.

1 1/2 cups soap flakes
1 cup very warm water

Whip soap and water together with an eggbeater until very fluffy. Use like fingerpaint on dark colored construction paper. Great for making wintery snow scenes.

1 cup liquid dishwashing detergent (I use Dawn)
2 cups warm water
3 tablespoons glycerin (available at most pharmacies)
1/2 teaspoon sugar

Mix gently and store in an airtight container.

1/4 cup Johnson's no-more-tears Baby shampoo
3/4 cup ater
3 Tbsp. light corn syrup

Mix all ingredients gently. Let bubbles settle before using.

1/2 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup water
3-4 drops food coloring

Add water slowly to cornstarch. You may need slightly less, depending on the humidity. Add food coloring. Now moosh it around! This will dry out after a while, but cleans up very easily with water.
