MUGGLES ROB FLOURISH AND BLOTTS |
Yesterday, two Muggles broke in to Flourish and Blotts, a shop in Diagon Alley, and stole over 500 Galleons worth of merchandise. The muggles have not been caught, and the Ministry advises the populace to be on the watch for misfits, as it is apparent that the Muggles have not left the wizarding world. "It is very depressing, yes," said Minister Cornelius Fudge in a conference later that day, "but it does happen. Perhaps these Muggles saw one of us enter the Leaky Cauldron and decided to follow." He coughed discreetly and added that it was possible - unlikely, but possible - that a wizard had helped. "We all know that, er, You-Know-Who is still here... But we are doing all we can to catch the Muggles who commited the crime." Fudge is quite confident that the culprits will be caught soon, but the wizarding world has it's doubts. Last year Fudge promised to recapture Sirius Black and put him back in Azkaban. Black is still on the loose. Flourish and Blotts spokesperson said, "We are extremely disappointed. The merchandise was for Hogwarts students, and we will have to restock. The new books will be in in about two weeks." |
MINISTER UNDER QUESTION |
Cornelius Fudge, Minister of Magic, is under questioning. The public made it quite clear that they found him unfit to govern them; he has made many unkept promises, has tried to quiet down many significant events. The wizards and witches feel that he should step down and let a more responsible individual take control. |
ANIMAGI WARNED AGAINST TRANSFORMING |
A recent study has shown that Animagi, wizards and witches who can turn into animals, may be endangering themselves by transforming. The University of Advanced Magical Studies (UAMS) has conducted research on the topic. They took two Animagi (names are being with held) and had one of them transform constantly. The other did not transform at all. The study proved that those who do transform a lot are in more danger of developing features connected to their animal. For instance, an Animagi who often turned into a cat may experience rapid hair growth, eye discolouration, and a tendency to mew. Fequent transformations are not reccomended and should be used only if absolutely necessary. For more information contact UAMS in London. |

QUIDDITCH REPORT |
The ever-nearing Quidditch World Cup has been the talk of the town for almost a month now. Our reporter Henry Stubble got a chance to talk with the Seeker of the Irish national team, Laony O'Bryan. He gives us the results: Stubble: How do you feel about the upcoming match? O'Bryan: Well, I feel pretty good. Coach Flaherty has been working me very hard, 5 hours a day! But I'm sure it will all pay off. Stubble: There's been rumors that you're cutting the team. Is this true? O'Bryan: Of course not! I wouldn't leave my team Seeker-less this close to the Cup! Whovere spread that rumor was just trying to ruin my rep. Stubble: And how do you feel about your teammates? O'Bryan: Awesome! We are an excellent team, and that is because everyone works really hard! Stubble: So how do you feel about the opposition? O'Bryan: We don't know who we're playing yet and that's a big problem for me: I like to know who I'm up against. But this will have to wait! Stubble: Thanks a lot Miss O'Bryan! O'Bryan: My pleasure! |
