First Degree The DE - Southbound
Reviewed By: Blutarski

  1. Just a short intro to the album. A nice beat produced by First Degree. Coo little intro to start it off.

  2. Phonk Beta helped out with the beat on this track. His voice is a little different than his newer albums, but he still has that same unique style to him. The beat is hard and gets your head into the track. He flows about people are out to bump his music. A tight track overall, I'm feeling it.

  3. A nice beat by Brittian Stafford. Some of that slow paced DE type shit. Some soft vocals on the hook. A typical DE track that knoccs with some sweet slow paced lyrics. Nice laid back track.

  4. Another Brittain Stafford produced track, with another hard beat. The DE, Soupbone and Ace rip up the mic with some hardcore gangsta lyrics. This is one of my favorite tracks on the album. It's tight all the way through, I'm feeling it.

  5. Another Brittain Stafford produced track. First Degree rips up on the mic on this one. He has more fast paced lyrics than he does on his newer albums. He flows about staying strapped no matter what. It's a clean track overall.

  6. Jeff Dixon produced this track. I don't really like the beat all that much, but it's alright. BeGee has some clean lyrics on this track. The DE doesn't appear on this track at all, but it doesn't matter because BeGee rips it up. A tight track overall.

  7. More of a typical First Degree produced track. Crucial Point and King come tight on this one and I like First Degree too. They anti-rep Fahrenheit like he does on all of his albums. Some old school feel to this track. I'm feeling it although it's nothing special.

  8. Another Jeff Dixon produced track. First Degree just flows on this track. He grabs the mic and just rips it up. He has more of an old school feel to his flow. He doesn't sound like the newer First Degree, but it's still tight. I'm feeling it.

  9. Bunch of people playing dominos about to smoke up some Zags.

  10. The interlude leads into this track. First Degree and Phonk Beta co-produce this track. He has those sweet vocals on this track. He flows about getting high and smoking up some Zags. Some laid back tight ass First Degree shit right here, I'm feeling it to the fullest.

  11. Young Joker does the production on this track. He also rips up the mic. He comes with some hard nosed lyrics and flows fast. Some tight gangsta lyrics on this track. No First Degree, but it's alright cause Young Joker rips it up. I'm feeling it, another one of my favorite tracks.

  12. First Degree produced this track and he rips up the mic as well. This is more like the current DE shit. A great track to end a great debut from First Degree. Just a prelude of what's to come in the future.

Overall this is a great debut album from First Degree, but it really sets the stage for his future albums. He has a hand on the production, but also has others do some too. He has some good features on it and good production. His voice is a little different than it is now, but it still has that same type of style to it. A good CD to pick up if you're a DE fan, otherwise you might want to get his newer albums.
