Niitsu Kakunoshin is the 13th master of the Hiten Mitsurugi Syle, a style invented over a thousand years ago to help protect the innocent people. The name of Seijuurou Hiko was given to whoever mastered the style. After mastering the style, Niitsu became obsessed with getting stronger and stronger. He became arrogant and couldn't stand people making certain mistakes about sworsdsmanship(using it to kill innocent people).In those years of arrogance, he protected people whenever he saw swordsmanship being misused At the age of about 28, he met a gang of bandits attacking innocent farmers. He disposed of the bandits and met the only survivor from the attack. It was a little boy called Shinta. Since Shinta was orphaned, he decided to take care of Shinta, and train him in the ways of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. Niitsu said that Shinta was too common a name so he decided to name Shinta Kenshin which means sword heart. He trained Kenshin under the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, but Kenshin left him withought completely mastering the style. After that, Niitsu became a potter and lived in the mountains. He now enjoys drinking sake often.
