Q CAMP COUNSELOR JOB DESCRIPTION & APPLICATION The camp counselor is charged with the responsibility
of overseeing the camping experience of those children who attend Hilltop Camp.
Each Counselor will be assigned to a dorm as well as to a certain number
of campers, to chaperone during their stay at Hilltop.
The camp counselor shall “lead, guide, and direct” all campers,
regardless whether or not a particular camper is in his or her charge.
The following duties shall be a part of the responsibility of the camp
counselor: 1.
Make sure the campers are
settled in and aware of the camp’s facilities. 2.
Make sure the campers in his
or her charge are at each activity ON TIME. 3.
Assist the campers with any
personal needs or questions that may arise. 4.
Attempt to settle disputes
that may arise between the campers. 5.
Enforce camp rules or report
any unbecoming behavior to the camp director. 6.
Demonstrate in every way the
behavior described in the rules for campers. 7.
Assure that all campers in
his or her charge take daily baths and medications. 8.
Maintain a godly,
sacrificial attitude at all times. 9.
Make every effort to lead
the campers to a deeper relationship to the Lord. 10.
