45. William Anderson WALDROP was born on 23 Mar 1807 in Newberry Co., S.C.. He died on 4 Jan 1851 in Laurens Co., S.C.. 1850 Census Laurens Co., SC. Died at residence of Pulmonary Consumption, age 44, Ref. Upper SC. Newspaper. Another record indicates he died on 17 Jan 1851, same paper, p. 12, by Holcomb. William A. Waldrop's birthdate taken from Bible of Solomon Tilman Fuller who married Phebe Anderson Waldrop after Elisha died. He conveyed to Samuel Waldrop of Laurens Co., SC. 310 acres located on Mudlick Creek in Newberry Co., 31 Oct 1766. Deed book "D" 2-83 Newberry Co., SC. William A. mentioned in Will of Elisha Waldrop. Solomon Tilman Fuller presented a bill for boarding William A. Waldrop for 9 months against the estate settled in 1826.

He was married to Mary WORKMAN (daughter of Robert * WORKMAN and Martha "Patsy" WALDROP) on 23 Dec 1834 in S.C.. Mary WORKMAN was born on 23 May 1816 in S.C.. She died on 29 Jun 1884. Mary died at 10 o'clock age 64 years, 1 month & 6 days according to the Anderson Waldrop Bible. However, it also states she was born 23 Mar 1807 which conflicts with her death at age 64. These conflicting dates were in two different handwritings. William Anderson WALDROP and Mary WORKMAN had the following children:

173 i. Robert Wayne\Hayn WALDROP was born in Nov 1835 in S.C.. He died on 11 Apr 1887.

176 iv. William Ephraim WALDROP was born on 3 Aug 1841 in Laurens Co., S.C.. He died on 14 Sep 1862 in MD.. William fell on the Battlefield of Boonsboro and died of consumption in Maryland at age 24 years 11 months & 10 days. [C.S.A.].
