The HWA has acknowledged the difficulty of maintaining accurate, up-to-date registrations for so many western horses in Hay! Land. Therefore, the HWA EXCO has decided to edit the way in which we do registrations. Instead of submitting a seperate form, owners will simply become registered in the association by entering an HWA show. A very short, mandatory form (including horse's name, owner, owner's e-mail, and barn) will appear in addition to the standard entry form at each HWA sponsored show. By filling this out, you'll be making your horses elligible to not only enter the show, but also to receive points toward end-of-year points. Horses will not be assigned registration numbers, but registered horses will appear in the registered horses database. If you're not sure whether or not you previously registered/entered a horse, you can use the search function of the database and look for your name. At the end of each show season, the registered horses page will be wiped clean and horses must enter a show of the new season in order to re-register. Our new system makes it easier to keep records current and keep horses listed under their current owner. However, if you buy/sell a horse during the HWA season it is still important that you let us know so we can update our records and award prizes to the correct owner. The buyer and seller of the HWA registered horse should decide who will complete the form and then submit the following to Liberty. |
