The human forms of werewolves have no distinguishing traits to disern them from normal humans. These shapeshifting creatures are strong, fierce, violent, and combative. The werewolves forms are greatly varied. Many have a bipedal form that is a hybrid between man and lupus. These creatures are generally about a foot taller and much stronger then their human forms. The bodies are fur-covered and have short tails, wolflike legs, and heads that are combinations in varying degrees of human and lupine features.

A second form of hybrid is more wolflike, and may be mistaken for a large wolf when it runs on all four legs. This hybrid can also walk erect and has humanlike hand that end in claws. And finally, the last form of the werewolf is that which is completely lupine and, if seen, will be seen as nothing more than a normal wolf.

The cause of these great hulking creatures is simply a disease. It is known as lycanthropy and once contracted will cause the beast with to emerge and make the person infected become a like creature as the one which originally bit it, but did not manage to kill the poor victim. There is rumors of powerful magics which can cure the disease if caught within 12 days, but that is mere speculation.

Luna, or more commonly, the Moon which shines over all the lands, rules the lives of the Werewolves. A full moon causes an immediate change to one of its beast forms, though the moons influence is also very strong on the nights immediately preceding and following the full moon where these changes are also likely to occur. Werewolves prefer the woodlands, but have been known to inhabit cities as well, trying to blend in though animal tend to give them away as they seem to be able to sense the beast within. Horses are skittish around them and even show fear, dogs may challenge a werewolf intruding on it "territory," and even cats arch their backs and hiss in the presense of these cursed creatures. These can be overcome with great time, care, and patience. Wild wolves on the other hand seem to be attracted to the Werewolves. The werewolf in its beast forms also has excellent senses of hearing and smeel with which it uses to hunt it "prey."

Werewolves have the ability to regenerate wounds at a tremendous rate, though they have some unusual physical vulnerablities. They have an unreasonable fear to a small flowering plant, which hence has been dubbed wolvesbane. This small plant cause a Werewolf to run if terror from the person who posseses it. Werewolves are also high allergic to silver, especially blessed silver. In all its forms, even touching silver causes a rash to break out on the body and any wounds causes with a pure silver weapon heal even slower than a normal humans wounds. Any wound a Werewolf sustains in one form is carried over to the others as well, which is usually how a person cursed with lycanthropy is able to begin to piece together the mystery of the disease as most don't remember the nights of their "hunt."
