Established in 1982
by a dying millionaire named Wilton Knight, the Foundation started out
with one operative (an ex-undercover cop) and a turbo-charged supercar
called KITT (short for Knight Industries Two Thousand). KITT was a sleek,
customized Pontiac Trans-Am that could cruise at 300 MPH, could leap 50
feet in the air, and was loaded with flame-throwers, smoke bombs and infra-red
sensing devices. And, best of all, it could talk. But that was fifteen
years ago. With all the new advances in technology, KITT is now a museum
piece. The 1997 models are faster,
sleeker, stronger, smarter. And there are five of them, Each
with their own special capabilities and distinct personalities. The cars
and drivers are linked; they work as a team. And in today's chaotic world,
there's power in numbers.
