Billy Branigan is one of five kids from the Branigan clan - He's the youngest.
Growing up in upstate New York , Billy first started to play in bands when he was in high school. At the age of 13 he began playing the guitar with help from his older brother Mark. During his high school days, Billy played with a band called "Sneakers", the band became very popular around the Westchester and Rockland Counties in New York.
Before making the Polydor/Polygram CD "Make A Move", Billy had odd jobs like doing maintenance at a tennis court, moved equipment for a rehearsal studio, a waiter and a cab driver.
Billy Branigan's birthday is February 28, 1961.
So who is Sparky? Sparky is Billy's nickname, his brother Mark gave him that name. He got it from his High School Art Teacher who named him Sparky because he ran around doing ten things at once!
