A light weight cop/buddy flick that capitalizes on the good chemistry between Ekin Cheng and Jordan Chan. It's a typical Wong Jing movie: a tissue-paper thin plot with serious undertones (a deadly assassin out to kill anyone who's seen his face) mixed with lots of wacky characters and moments. It's a jarring blend that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, though some of the humor is very funny. Typical performances from all the leads. Ekin is cute, intense and brooding, Jordan is intense and wacky. Gigi Leung has a bit more to do in a double role, first as a tough, determined policewoman and then as an intelligent, sweet computer specialist. Law Kar-Ying serves up his usual wackiness as Jordan's crazy father who thinks he's James Bond. He has some very amusing moments. Alex Fong steals the movie sometimes as the stylish, soft-spoken, demonic assassin named Angel. Overall, the movie is quite enjoyable and amusing.
