Lately, Ekin Cheng is running from both sides. Not only does he has to film "Two Faced Person", he also has to promote his new album "Together". The other day, Ekin finished a day of filming and the next afternoon, he has to go to HMV for an autograph session. Afterwards, he went to Jim Sha Shui to be a judge for the "Together" karaoke competition and finally, he returned to the set for more filming. He is truly very busy.

Recently, a sunglasses company had their eyes on Ekin and asked him to make a commercial for them. They also designed a sunglasses series name "Ekin Eyewear" for this commercial. Ekin is paid over 100 thousands dollars and gets to have free sunnies as well. Ekin seldom wear sunnies so it was a surprise from him that he is chosen. Ekin said that he actually looked fairly good in sunnies and yesterday at the karaoke competition, he especially wore a cowboy hat and a pair of sunglasses.

2^nd April 1999

Yesterday, IFPI CD chart announced that Ekin Cheng's new album "Together" has occupied first position (the album is also new on the chart). Of course Ekin is happy about the result, however, from the happy side, there is also a down side to it. Ekin found out that not only was his album has been copied and made into pirated CDs, but on the copied disk, there is an extra song. The song was the theme song from his musical production "Midnight Summer Fantasy". Ekin is very angry about this since it is directly effecting the selling of his album. Although this is happening, Ekin said he could not do anything about it, the only thing he can do is to hope that the government will continues to demolish the pirated CD/VCDs.

There also has been news about Eric Kwork not filming in the TV series with Ekin. In replacement of him, Michael Tse Tin Wa will take his place. Luckily Michael is also one of Ekin's best friend. Details of Eric's departure will be announced by TVB on the 6^th April.

Other news on Ekin have also occur in the pass week. On the 31^st March, Ekin and Nicholas Tse went to the promotion for their new movie "China Hero" coming out in July. They will have the same promotion similar to the storm riders ie radio program. Everyone in the movie all attended in their costumes, however, Ekin wore a costume that is not in the movie. Ekin explained that the costume was suppose to be in the movie but he did not have a chance to wear it and that was why he wore it to the promotion. Apart from this, Ekin said that they will not film a sequel to The Storm Riders because the movie company is working on another project that is bigger than the sequel and even if they are going to film it, it's going to be in two years time.

Congratulation Ekin! Ekin's song has become one the twelve songs that got into the JSG first quarter. The winning song is "Together" of course. Together is also coming first in other music charts as well (including RHTK music chart in which "Together" came first twice in a roll). Good on you Ekin! Ekin Cheng has returned to TVB to film a TV series. Yesterday, along with his good friend Eric Kwork and Lam San San's brother went to take photos for their new series "Two faced Person". The lead female actress will be Yeun Kit Yee.

It is Eric's first time in filming a TV series. He joked that Ekin had set a trap for him to fall into. This happened when Ekin promise him if he ever directs a movie he will act in it and in return Eric also promised that if Ekin ever return to TVB to film a TV series he will participate in it also. Finally last year, Eric directed a short film "Dragon Heart" and Ekin did not eat his words. He paid for his own plane tickets and hotel fees, flew to Japan and acted in the movie for a day without receiving any pay. During then, Eric thought Ekin is such a nice person and a very good mate and was deeply affected by his motives. Eric also thought that it doesn't matter if he made that promise because he believed that Ekin probably wouldn't have time to make any TV series any way. However, Eric would have never guessed that a month later, Ekin consulted him that he had already agreed o film "Two Faced Person" series and told him to get ready to work. Eric said that this time he really got gypped. Ekin helped him for one day and now, he must spent two months to film the series, it really wasn't worth it. Eric joked that maybe it is because Ekin wanted himself to act with someone as ugly like himself (Eric) to make himself look cuter in comparison.

When asked about setting a trap for Eric to fall into. Ekin said he did not because it has been five years since he filmed "Instinct" and he had not filmed any other series since then and now going back will be a big pressure as he is afraid of a bad performance and not getting use to filming a 20 episode series. For this series, Ekin is finishing his old contract and therefore is getting pay for the same amount of money he had five years ago. Ekin did not mind this since he believed that things should be looked at a bit deeper as TV series is very popular in China.

23^rd March 1999

Ekin Cheng, also known as a big child, has been described as the "Show-Biz Treasure" by Roman Low because Ekin is stupid (in a nice short of way ie. people who always think of others before themselves might be considered as stupid) and at first Ekin's singing was passable but now, he is getting better and better. When Ekin was asked about the comment made by his singing teacher, Ekin replied: "Whatever he say is true, but that doesn't mean I'm a treasure because there are many times when I speak to straight forward (saying the truth) and offended many people. However, I haven't thought of changing, otherwise if I did change, I'll be better off by now." Roman also said Ekin is too straight and too concern about many things but this is his good points and also his bad ones. Ekin himself also agree with him.

For example, Ekin is really concern in the pirated VCD issue. He told the reporters that when he watched the news and saw shops now have signs saying "Legal Compact Disc", he did not understand why the sighs are so small that you can hardly see it. Ekin really wanted to have a fund raising program so that bigger signs could be made for every one to see. To the addition to this, when Ekin watched some interviews, he heard that people will still buy pirated VCD because it is cheap. He said: "No matter how much you attack the industry, in the end, people will still continue to buy them."

Ekin's new album will be out this Friday. Ekin waited half a year so that his album could be out after the peak of pirated VCD. Recently, the government has set up so many projects help the entertainment industry, he only hoped that it will really work sicne he worked really hard on his new album and it will be really good if the people who support him will buy his legal CDs.

19^th March 1999

Yesterday, Ekin took part in "Basic idea of loving children" activity. Being a big child himself, Ekin surprisingly has been voted to be one of the "Best Possible Father". Even Ekin himself believed that he would be good at the job. During the activity, Ekin, holding a baby doll, was able to change its nappy and make milk for it - he seemed to be very good at it. Apart from Ekin, the four kings and Leo Koo were also nominated. Out of the guys who are married, Jacky Cheung got the most votes, but for the unmarried guys, Ekin out voted the rest.

Ekin is a caring and loving person, so of course, he can be a very good father. However, just because Ekin loves children and in the near future he would love to play games with his own babies, doesn't mean he will immediately have one. Ekin said that having babies is a big responsibility and being a adult there are many other problems to face as well. Not every child is smart and beautiful and due to the fact that people worried about things like this, some people rather not have any. According to him, Maggie has the same beliefs as he does. Ekin reckons it is because he is a big child himself that so many people voted for him. Ekin heard from others that it has been scientifically proven that the best age to have smart babies for women is when they are 40 and said that it will be a long time yet till Maggie turns 40 so he still have time to consider. Anyway, Ekin has a couple of nephews that he could take out and have fun.

Ekin gave hints that in October, there might be a special performance for his concert. However, he doesn't want it to be called a concert but should be a mixture of both (concert and musical) because after his experience from the musical production, Ekin felt that there could be more to it then just a normal performance. Being a actor and singer himself, Ekin believed that there should be a story to go with his show. Don't you (Ekin) mind that people commented that you can't sing? Ekin answered: "It doesn’t matter what other people say, I've already sang for this long. If I couldn't sing, Sam Hui wouldn't find me for his production. I only do things for the people who support me!" (Good on you Ekin!!!!)

After finishing Midnight Summer Fantasy, Ekin Cheng fell in love with Gigi and Miriam…then what will happen to Maggie? Of course, one hearted Ekin said it's very hard to deny that during the musical he did not have that sort of feeling. However, when the show was over, that feeling would become the past. Many artists have the same experiences and now, I the only feeling that Ekin has for them is "friendship".

Ekin can usually snap out of his character naturally after each show/performance. For the statement that Luo Jia Liang made about falling in love with the female co-star during the filming of a tv series, Ekin said that if you're in the show-biz then you should expect something like this would happen. When asked if it was because of filming a tv series that Maggie and Ekin got together, Ekin immediately answered : "Of course not! In our very first series together, we did not have many lines said to each other because her role was my mother!" In fact, it wasn't until 2 years later that Ekin and Maggie officially dated.

16^th March 1999

For Ekin's new song "In my memories there is no winter" Karaoke MTV, there was a very daring attempt in which Ekin was to hug a female model in her nude.

Recently, Ekin filmed his new MTV for his new song. The director requested the female model should take the top half of her clothes off so that it would have a better effect on the MTV. The model was very professional and said "YES" without hesitation. Poor Ekin seeing that the model have already agreed, was too nice to say no and agreed also. The workers in the set all left the room to avoid embarrassment and only 5 people where left in the set - Ekin, the model, camera man, lady director and her assistant. When they began filming, the model immediately stripped and in her nude she hugged Ekin. However, Ekin was a bit shocked and did not know what to do. He wouldn't even dare to look at the model which resulted the scene to be very unnatural. Because he was so nervous, a few NG's occurred before the scene was considered to be satisfactory.

13^th March 1999

Recently, Ekin returned from a trip to Japan which lasted for 3 days. The main purpose of this trip was to buy new outfits and some hi-tech sound system equipment. Another reason they went there was to try out a variety of yummy food. One day, he and his music producer went to a shushi restaurant. Since the restaurant's food is very cheap and worthy, there was a long queue outside the entrance. Ekin and his producer ate a total of 9 plates of shushi, felt very full and decided to leave. However, on their way out, they were stopped by a waiter holding a sign in English explaining that "For every customer who eat in the dinning room for more than 5 minutes, must eat a total of 5 plats of sushi each." Counting the number of plates that Ekin and his producer ate, they must eat another plate each before they could leave. They eventually did end up eating another 2 plates!

When talked about Leon Lai, Shu Kie's and Ms Gin's phone conversation being ears dropped on, Ekin said that ears dropping have always existed. Nowadays, being a celebrity is very hard and the pressure is very big, not only you get followed everyday, your private conversation can also be overheard. Ekin joked that if this keeps going on , there might be a chance of being force to commit suicide. To stop being over heard on the phone, Ekin has an idea that people shouldn't use mobile phones , but use a notepad instead.

11^th March 1999

Ekin Cheng's new album "Together" will be out in mid March this year. Ekin recently flew to Saigon, Vietnam, to shoot his MTV's and take pictures for his CD cover. For the theme of Ekin's album, it will be very different to his previous cool-feel. Instead, the theme will be focused on close relationship with people so that it will match the title "Together". In Vietnam, Ekin was able to tour the local famous markets. Since Ekin's TV series have been shown in Vietnam, many Vietnamese recognized him and gave chase! The funniest thing was that one Vietnamese chased Ekin down a few streets just to ask Ekin why is the whole street of people chasing after him and who is he. This made Ekin to wonder if he should be angry or laugh about it. For the MTV, Ekin especially went to the local disco to find a matching female co-star. Although the girls were not as good as expected, Ekin luckily manage to find someone. Ekin's album has been sponsored by "Mei Li Hua" cooperation and this Vietnam trip was also sponsored by them as well.

During his trip, Ekin went to a place that is not a usual tourist site. Ekin said: "There is a river that needed 3 hours to get there. When I arrived, I got onto a very small boat. I was a bit worried at first because the boat looks as if it will capsize any minute. Afterwards, I realized that it was very safe and start paddling with the others as well." Mei Li Hua also agreed to sponsor Ekin and a group of his fans to have a summer holiday trip to China and Ekin's new MTV premiere will be shown at Mei Li Hua shopping Mall.

6^th March 1999

Last night, Midnight Summer fantasy finally ended. Sam's Hui family all went to see it for the very last time and some other celebrities went as well. The cultural centre was 100% completely packed with people.

Due to the fact that the entire crew has been working together for 3 months, crying-baby Miriam poured her eyes out even before the last scene was finished. Afterwards the other three actors also cried when they said good bye to the audience and thank-you-ing everyone. However, the most special thing that night was Sam( who have not been on stage or sang in six years) coming on stage and sang the theme song with the 4 co-star. As the 4 stars said their last words, Ekin said things which are very deep: " Before, when I agreed to do the musical, I only wanted to help Sam to fulfill his dream. But afterwards, I realized that it wasn't just Sam's dream, but everyone's dream. This musical being so successful, is due to everyone's participation in it."

Apart from this, during one of the scene in the musical, Miriam and Ekin accidentally made a mistake in their dance. Miriam couldn't control herself and laughed so hard that she could not even sing . This resulted in Ekin helping her and sang her part as well as his own.

5^th March 1999

Ekin's new album "Together" will be out by the end of the month. There will be a big promotion when the album comes out including a karaoke competition at "Mei Li Hua" hotel. "Mei Li Hua" who sponsors this promotion also agreed to support Ekin on a summer holiday with his fans to Shen Zhao, China. Ekin said that he have never been to places like "Dai Lian, Ching Dao, and Hai Nan" and would like to go there with his fans and play games. Apart from this, Ekin's new song "Together" was composed by Punk Man (the same person who composed "Discover" and "Fung Wan") and he especially composed the song for Ekin. The song has a special meaning which is working "Together" (Ekin and himself) for 10 years and been through so much together. Ekin wished that after the entertainment industry goes well again he wanted to have a song called "Happy Together"! After Ekin finishes the musical he will have 3 days holidays in Japan but this is for work also and then afterwards he will return to TVB to film a TV series. Ekin said: "I would really like to go back to TVB because I haven't filmed a TV series for so long and anyway, my other movies are not ready to be filmed yet so I have spare time to do this."

The other night, Fitto's big boss and his wife came to Ekin's musical production and visited Ekin in the back stage. He once again asked Ekin if he would like to sign a contract with him after Ekin's present contract expires. Ekin said that he still have 5 albums to make for BMG and will have his 2^nd concert by the end of the year so he is still not really to decide whether to leave or stay.

26^th FEB 1999

Yesturday, Ekin filmed his first MTV of the year for his latest song "TOGETHER". This new song will be in his up coming album which hopefully will be out by next month. The MTV is filmed at Tun Mun, Golden harbor. The most special thing about this MTV is that there is no female co-star, but instead a group of students from the TVB acting school were used.

23^rd FEB 1999

During the last scene of the "Midnight Summer Fantasy", Ekin and Gigi the pair of screen lovers, must kiss each other in order to finish the scene. Every night with this kiss, would it be possible for them to really fall in love? When Gigi heard of this, she said immediately: "No, of course not, it's only acting. Gigi believed that the most funniest thing that happened to her in the musical was not falling over, but when the kids in the show asked her seriously if she was mad at Ekin for being so nice to Miriam and when would she and Ekin get marry for real. This made her very embarrassed and realized how naïve children could be. On the other side, Ekin said that he didn't mind kissing Gigi and it was the director's idea as it would bring the story line out better, but Ekin was not sure if Gigi was okay with all of this or feel disadvantage about it.

Ekin and the others are enjoying themselves very much in making the musical although nearly all off them have injured themselves in one way or another. Ekin hurt his leg whilst running up onto the stage, he said: "It really hurt and it was bleeding. I went numb for some time and couldn't move. Making a musical is a lot tougher than making a concert." Miriam also hurt herself when she fell down a flight of stairs when she stepped of the flying horse. She hurt one of her leg and one of her arm. Everyone is getting freaked out, but no harm is done.

18^th FEB 1999

Last year's and this year's Chinese new year, Ekin celebrated it as he worked whilst others get their 3 days public holiday. This is because this year, he has to perform in the "Midnight Summer Fantasy" and the year before that his 22098 concert. Usually every year at this time, Ekin would do three of his favorite things 1) Ekin would gather up a bunch of his old friends from the acting course they've all been to 10 years ago and have a reunion, 2) eating fried Chinese new years food, but this year he couldn't and its also because of the performance, 3) illegal parking , because no matter where he'll park, no one would be there to give him a ticket. However, this year unfortunately, he could not do neither of these things.

When asked whether his girlfriend Maggie will make some new year's food, Ekin smile and said: "She only knows how to eat them…but I, myself, likes to eat seed cake with msg, I think it's very tasty." Ekin reckons that in this rabbit year, there must be some ups and downs in order to have fun and excitement.

14^th FEB 1999

Sam Hui, Ekin Cheng, Gigi Leung, Miriam Yeung and Jordan Chan's musical production "Midnight Summer Fantasy" finally began last night at HK cultural center. The musical production has a 3 sided stage and was up to 80% to 90% full which was a approximation of 7000 people. Ekin appeared on the stage wearing car mechanics clothes and along with Gigi and Miriam made a spectacular performance of our generation love relationship. With over 60 million dollars production, most of the money have been spent on props such as the flying horse, the boat, an airplane and a light tower etc. A total of 18 different sets were made which made the story more realistic. Gigi, Ekin and Miriam all used their real names in their performance which resulted the audience feeling more relaxed, comfortable and easy to relate to their roles.

In the musical, Ekin wore white and entered the scene on a white flying horse and because of this, resulted reporters paying Ekin out by saying that he is the white horse prince. Ekin's first reaction was: "Too bad that I don't feel that way!" It was not only Ekin that have to ride on the horse that was 3 to 4 meters above ground but the other too female star also took in the part. Ekin was suppose to wear a safety belt every time he was on it, but he did not do so and motivated the back stage people feeling very worried. However, Ekin had his nothing to worry about look on his cute face and said: "It's not dangerous. There is really nothing to be scared about, I'm used to things from making so many movies. Even Sam said that it is my own choice as long as I am confident about it. I always told the girls not to bother wearing the safety belts because I am a safety belt myself, but they never listen to me. Especially during the rehearsal, Gigi always nagged me about not wearing one which made me lose my confidence." Due to the great reaction from the audience, the musical production will have an extension of another 5 nights. Hooray and Good luck to Ekin and other members of the production!

Yesterday, Ekin Cheng have announced that for his next K-Swiss commercial he would select a female to be his partner. At the competition, there were a total of 11 competitors which include 6 females and 5 males. But finally a 17 year old girl was chosen to be his partner.

Ekin will be making a 2^nd commercial for K-Swiss and specially held a huge competition to select an appropriate partner which resulted over 200 people applying for it. Finally 11 finalist was chosen and the competition was held in a enormous restaurant in Causeway Bay. Due to the reason that the winner will have the first prize (which is making a commercial with Ekin in person), attracted many young female teenagers. Finally it was a 17 year old girl that received the best looking model award who also get the opportunity to star in the commercial with Ekin.

Yesterday, in the competition, most of the competitors were between the age of 16 to 18, however there was a half Chinese and half English male competitor (Douglas Brown ) who is just 7 years old. Once he was on stage, everyone was very surprise and all eyes were focused on him. Even Ekin who was one of the judges and Janet Ma became more focus and concentrated on this little boy. Due to the fact that Douglas was very nervous, his performance was not was good as it was suppose to be and hence missed out the chance to be with Ekin.

During the competition the competitors were asked why they wanted to enter this competition. Two of the girls there immediately answered: "Because we could see Ekin." This made Ekin laughed and said: "I must still have my attractiveness." Apart from that, Ekin was very please with the winner, he said:" She's good, I really admired her for her confidence. When I was young, I would never dare to do something like this." Ekin also said that he was never gived in acting so he does not understand why he is an actor. Ekin said cheerfully:" One year, I went to enter a singing competition and got into the top 100, but I never got into the finals. But then TVB' s worker gave me a call and asked me to study a acting course and I have been in this occupation since then."

6^th FEB 1999

The script team received positive news that recently TVB has been asking Eric Kwork to star in a TV series with Ekin Cheng. It had been two to three years since Ekin was in a TV drama and now that his is going back to the big family, he is very nervous but wished that his series will have a high rating. Knowing that Ekin will be in it, being partner with Ekin before in Feel 100% ( which was a smash hit in 1996) , Eric agreed immediately that he would be glad to be partners with Ekin again even though he has never acted in a TV series before! Yesterday, reporters interview Eric to verify that this whole thing is true and when asked about it, Eric replied swiftly: "Yes! But I have not chosen my role yet because Ekin is busy with his musical at the moment so I am waiting for him so that we could decide together." The plot and other main characters have not been decided, but it should begin to film in late March this year. Yesterday, Ekin said when interviewed: "When I finish the musical, I will go back to TVB to film a TV series. It has been a long time since I starred in one. Before, I have always been in movies and having hero type roles and I believed that it had created a huge distance between the family audience and me. That's why I want to go back and hoped that I could bring in the distance."

28^th Jan 1999

Ekin has been reminding people who are really into music productions to be on time for the "Midnight Summer Fantasy" because he and the others will start right on the dot at eight. During the rehearsal, Ekin laughed and said that they have a very good instructor (which is "Sam Hui" of course) who would always play the piano to help them open their voices before they went into serious singing. Since Sam could play almost every song, it is like singing karaoke for them. Every night, Sam would come to their rehearsal and supervise them personally and make changement to their mistakes. The thing that is bothering them the most now is singing one of Sam's song(half kilo, 8 grams) and dancing to it. To the addition to that, there are lots of movement to the dance and a lot of times, they would run out of breath.

Recently, a magazine printed a photo of Ekin and Miriam dancing very closely together and his face is almost touching her chest. Ekin explained that it is only the angle and there will be no such dances in the musical. Miriam also said that Ekin is very gentleman and has nothing to worry about.

 

 

25^th Jan 1999

Yesterday, Giggi Leung, Miriam Yeung, Ekin Cheng and Jordan Chan was recording for the JSG awards at the set. The four singers are all from Sam Hui's musical production and together, they sang Sam Hui's famous song. Recently, Ekin has been practicing for the musical explained that he is spending many hours and energy for this future performance and is now feeling pressured by it as well. Ekin also wished that he could also perform the musical oversea as well as in Hong Kong, he said: "I wish we could bring Sam's work overseas so that people can see that Hong Kong music production is as good as the ones there." When asked about the rumor if Sam is going to be in the musical, Ekin said cheerfully: "I have never heard of it and don't know if Sam is going to be in it."

24^th Jan 1999

Yesterday, newspapers had already posted the ten golden songs and the 12 running up singers for the most popular star of the year award. Once again, Ekin is not part of the ten golden songs, but luckily, he did get into one of the 12 singers. According to the newspaper today...all the singers who receive a award on that night will also receive a gold head statue of the singers themselves which is valued hundred thousand dollars each. TVB have made the gold statue for all nominee.....but not Ekin !!!!!!! They have not even prepare one for him !! During today's rehearsal for the preparation for tonight's show, Ekin explained that it is because all the singers have to take a scanning before the head statue is made and because he is very busy and is not in Hk for the last few months (making China Hero I presume), therefore did not have time to do any scanning. Apart from this, Ekin also said that the statue is not really for him because he will not receive any awards. Anyway, I hope Ekin will receive better results this year and getting what he should deserve! Three cheers for Ekin ^o^.

On one dark windy night, in a place where famous people take up fights, under a pile of sand, stuck out a human head. Once got closer, the head is recognized to be our well-known pop star, Ekin Cheng. To finish the last few scenes of China Hero, Ekin was entirely buried under the ground with only his head showing. Although workers have already made a wooden frame to put Ekin in, however, the sand continues to fall on Ekin's body and to the addition to this, the wooden frame is actually causing pain on Ekin's entire body. This scene is definitely very tough on him. However, the toughest thing for Ekin that night wasn't that, but the pain in his stomach. Ekin reckons it is because during the day, he has to practice for his musical production and did not have time to change out of his sweaty clothes which resulted this stomach ache. Therefore during the whole night, Ekin's stomach keeps on rumbling, making him feel very uncomfortable. But isn't this like the symptoms for women before they have their PMS. "You're right, I was thinking of the same thing. I finally understand why sometimes on the set I see some actress suddenly feeling very grumpy. I bet I would feel the same way if I was them." However, when Ekin was suppose to be rescued by his friend (sorry, but I couldn't translate his name), his friend accidentally kicked sand all over Ekin's face, but Ekin still did not get grumpy. Even his friend couldn't help himself and commented that Ekin has a very good attitude towards his career.

18^th Jan 1999

Yesterday, Ekin, Jordan, Giggi and Miriam all took part in their autograph session for their musical production. 500 fans who have already bought the tickets arrived and another 200 fans came just to see their idols. Ekin and Giggi seemed to be the most popular of the four, receiving many presents from their fans, whilst Miriam and Jordan popularity seemed to be a lot quieter, maybe their fans did not know about this autograph session. There have been complaints from fans about how expensive the tickets were (the most costly one is $680) and most of them could not afford to watch for a second time whilst some others could not even afford to go. When Ekin was asked about this, he said: "I realize that the tickets are more expensive then normal, but it can't be helped. The props are very expensive and I believe that it is worth the money and time to go and see it." The musical production begins to show on February the 12 and will go on for 15 nights, there might even be a extension of the nights if the tickets continue to sell well. Lately Ekin is very busy, not only is he practicing for the musical, he is also recording for his new album. Ekin said sadly: "I'm dying of tiredness." Yesterday, Roman Law went to see a musical production by himself. Originally, Ekin was suppose to come along, but because of an urgent meeting with Sam Hui for his musical production this February, Ekin was unable to come.

22^nd DEC 1998

Yesterday at Wong Kok shopping mall held a "Hot War" charity promotion. The things they sell there include "hot war" VCD and posters. Ekin said that he's getting sick of riding on planes. Not only did he fly to Malaysia to receive the award for best movie theme song of the year, he has to fly to Taiwan for the premier of the movie too. For the top ten best selling movie of the year, Ekin is able to already own two of the places (Y&D5 and The Storm Riders), he wishes that "hot War" will be his third movie selected in the top ten for 1998. Being able to achieve such good results, Ekin said it is because he uses most of his making albums time for movies. There are rumors about Ekin would not receive any awards for this year, Ekin commented that every year there will be rumors, so he never cared about them anyway. Lately, there are rumors about Ekin having a 'love virus' during the filming of hot war. Ekin laughed and joked that was just a form of promotion for the movie. There aren't just rumors about him, but about Jordan Chan being a fat pig too. Ekin said: "I'm not angry because such things did not happen." On the hand, the other rumor about Aaron not doing the sequel for The Storm Riders, Ekin knew nothing about it. However, if Aaron is not going to be in it, there is no point in making the movie because it has loss its representative. It will better to let it be and make a sequel for China Hero or Hot War.

17^th DEC 1998

Yesterday, Ekin, Giggi Leung, Jordan Chan gathered together for the tryouts for Sam Hui's songs in their music production. Although this production will begin in February next year, dancers are already practicing. Every actors who will participate in it are concentrating very hard because everyone is very exciting about this production. Due to Jordan having a cold and his filming of a TV series, he left early, leaving the rest of the three main characters testing for one of Sam Hui's song. Since Ekin has to sing with the other two girls, he must deliberately lower his voice. At first he felt very uncomfortable, but finally he was able to harmonize quite nicely with the others.
