Very similar in concept to "Splash". The mermaid's boyfriend is a teacher at a school, and Kent Cheng is the principal (as opposed to John Candy in "Splash"). It's pretty much just a high school comedy, with lots of jealousy among the female characters who don't trust their boyfriends. It's the world's most beautifully photographed high school comedy, though. The mermaid costumes and underwater scenes are really beautiful. Thankfully, it's done as a family movie, so no gratuitous nudity. Quite wholesome.

Zhi (Ekin Cheng) is a PE teacher at a High School and on a school trip, he was pushed over board. Luckily, he was saved by Mei who is a mermaid. However, to save Zhi's life, she used her pearl and was accidentally swallowed by Zhi. Mei could not go back to the ocean unless she gets her pearl back and the only way she could get close enough to get it back was to disguises as one of the student at the school in which Zhi is teaching at. But the principal soon found out that she was a mermaid and set a trap to capture her….
