The Hung Hing boyz are back. This installment is the most realistic of the three. The story line is clear and linear and the violence, while still mostly cartoonish, is devastating and has a profound impact on the lives of the main characters. Perhaps because this is the third movie there was less emphasis on character development, which I really enjoyed in the first two movies. Despite the violence, there's still plenty of funny moments. In particular the courting ritual between Chicken and the foul-mouthed, fast-fisted daughter of the Priest. There's great chemistry between the good, bad boy and the bad, good girl. There were also some funny, touching moments as Ho Nam and Smartie rekindle their romance. There were a couple of unintentionally funny moments, too: a scene in Holland seems to become a travelogue as happy, friendly Dutch people prance in the streets of Amsterdam and do everything but hold up signs saying "Come Visit Holland". Also, Jordan and Ekin seemed to have some sort of contest going as to who could cover the largest area of their bodies with the most tattoos (Ekin won).
Ho Nam's girl friend, Smartie, finally wakes up from her coma. The story begins with Ho Nam trying to revive her memory back as she had forgotten everything even her beloved Ho Nam. Of course, there is a new enemy for Ho Nam and they are the triad gang from Holland. Once again, he is framed and with his girl friend captured, how could he rescue her……
