"TIME WARP - PART VI"

The Story So Far...

'Time Warp 6' Cover

Three-fifths of the people scattered throughout time have escaped the trap Dr. Peachbody (boo, hiss) made for them. Some just want home, others want payback. Okay, they ALL want payback. The location for the fight... Quagmire, USA. The time... two issues (NHS #57).

And Now... Blood and Donuts (and I'm all outta donuts.)

Mita and Gina, back at the former's house in Quagmire, attempt to locate everyone so they can go pick them up.

Meanwhile, in Romania of 1865, Professor Azland and Akaru immediately fulfill a prophesy by being met by Jesibell who takes them to the sleeping forms of Arnie, Ryan and Asrial. (Confused yet?) Disrupting the magic spell placed upon them by Lili Masters (in NHS #55), Jesibell awakens the trio to save her uncle's life.

Jesibell's uncle, Count Boscoe, is being recruited into the vampire queen Natasha's inner circle of evil vampires. He is against it, but powerless against them, so he plays along.

Professor Azland gives Jesibell a formula for a blood substitute so she can give it to her uncle. Fighting occurs when Natasha orders an attack on the villagers. Our heroes will have none of that, so they clean house. (Anyone who dares take on powerful vampires single-handedly, and wins, must be good. That is our heroes.)

In the end, Mita and Gina pick up the quintet, and they all go to get everyone else, including the lost Britanny and Brianna.

ProseWolf Says:

I once had a Werewolf character named Boscoe. He never told anyone his name, and insisted they call him... Wounds. Anyway.

I was impressed by the intelligence involved in this issue. Not much pseudo-science occured, but the strategy involved with the fight scenes was good. Mr. Perry seems very adept at staging mass battles, and getting across all that happens clearly. Congratulations.

The cover: eh.

The interior art: I can't describe how much better each issue gets, so I won't. It just does.

Oh. At what moment does this issue's eclipse happen? I'm thinking it's Boscoe's finger-block panel. Does this foretell something ominous? Because Ryan has faced (and defeated) Natasha twice, and they are characters in the same comic book, does Ryan have an arch-nemesis now?
