Service Items


Service A   - Replace engine oil and filter *
- Inspect front brake pads *
- Inspect all fluid levels
- Inspect CV boots

Service B   - Replace engine oil and filter *
- Inspect front and rear brake pads *
- Inspect front and rear brake calipers *
- Inspect brake hoses and lines
- Inspect/adjust parking brake
- Inspect exhaust pipe and muffler
- Inspect/adjust wheel alignment
- Inspect steering gear box, boots and tie rod ends
- Inspect power steering system *
- Inspect suspension mounting bolts
- Replace coolant (every 36 months / 60,000km)
- Inspect all fluid levels
- Inspect CV boots

Service C   All items in Service B plus the following:
- Inspect fuel line connections
- Inspect/adjust alternator and power steering belt tension
- Inspect cooling system hoses and connections
- Inspect ABS operation
- Replace air filter
- Replace spark plugs
- Replace transmission fluid
- Replace differential fluid
- Replace brake fluid
- Replace clutch fluid
- Inspect/adjust valve clearances

Service D   All items in Service C plus the following:
- Inspect/adjust idle speed and CO emissions
- Inspect EGR system
- Inspect evaporative emission control system
- Inspect ignition timing
- Inspect PCV valve
- Inspect distributor cap and rotor
- Inspect ignition wiring
- Inspect catalytic converter heat shield
- Replace fuel filter and hoses
- Replace ABS high pressure hoses

Service E   All items in Service C plus the following:
- Replaced timing (cam) belt
- Inspect water pump (recommend replacment)

Items marked * should be inspected more frequently under "severe" driving conditions. The definition of "severe" includes lots of short trips less than 5km, stop and start driving, extreme temperatures, driving in a dusty environment and towing. If following the severe service schedule, the engine oil and filter should be replaced every 3 months or 5,000km.

 

Recommended oil viscosity and spark plugs

Oil: 10W-30 or 5W-30 (API SG or better)
Spark plugs: NGK BKR6E-N-11

 

Important notes

-   Use only genuine Honda power steering fluid and engine coolant
- It is strongly recommended that you use genuine Honda automatic transmission fluid. The Honda fluid has different friction characteristics to regular Dexron fluid. The use of non-genuine fluid may result in harsh shifting.
