The HooHaa Revivalists - 4 Cool Cats and 1 Hot Diva
Bio

How do you HooHaa?

To be a part of the HooHaa experience you must be susceptible to feeling pure joy, sweet romance, deep love and unadulterated lust. The songs are heart tugging standards from all eras of modern music that lilt into a sweet swingy style perfect for wearing your dancing shoes. The band itself easily maintains a friendly party atmosphere throughout their set often throwing together gems like “Dream A Little Dream of Me” with “All of Me” and newer songs by Tom Waits, Eleni Mandell, Nellie McKay and Ian Gifford.

What is a HooHaa?

HooHaa is part of a name of the production company called “Unlimited HooHaa” run by Julie Glaser. She produced the film “Revival” that would feature Brenda McMorrow, Ian Gifford and others with an Ian Gifford original song “Could it Be (that we’re in love)” as the narrative to the 7 minute piece. For the premier party Ian and Brenda formed the “HooHaa Revivalists” featuring many of the same performers that played on the recording of “Could it Be...” including Dean Harrison (keys and accordion) Andy Magoffin (drums, coronet, engineering) [Jonathon Davis played the premier party in place of Andy] Jedd House (upright Bass) and Ian on guitar and vocals with Brenda taking most of the lead vocals. August 2004 saw yet another incarnation of the band featuring Carlos Latorre (drums) Will Haas (upright bass) and Mike Bonnell (piano). Check out the Band page for individual member profiles with links to websites that contain more info on each player or just some that we love!

Where and when can I HooHaa?

How about on Friday Dec. 31st at Aeolian Hall for a fab dance bash also featuring the Rizdales? Check out our

Why HooHaa?

Can you think of a lovelier way to spend an evening?
No, I didn't think so!
