THINGS DID NOT COME TO ME AS NATURALLY AS I EXPECTED IT WOULD
It all did seem so simple, we would act on instinct and be the best parents ever. Then we welcomed our son to the world December 16th 1998. While I was giving birth, the world was focusing on the Kuwaiti air strike that was being broadcasted on the television  in our birth room at the hospital. (SEE WHY I WILL NEVER GIVE BIRTH IN A HOSPITAL AGAIN) Our son was born bright eyed and alert. He kicked out of the swaddle and squiggled out of the infant hat.
My first attempts of
breastfeeding were comical and I did not get it for weeks. It seemed I wasn't doing it right or something....
We got home after the terror of driving with a newborn, my partner had to go back to work, so I was left with this curious bundle of human. He seemed to tiny for his crib so I held him alot or used an infant seat.
He slept alot those two days in the hospital and he had been circumsized that morning, poor kid.
The next day he woke up
and he formed a valid opinion
and his opinion remains
to this day
he needs
more
and more
and more of more.
