"FLASHBACK WEEKEND
2003" Lovely prose, dearest Baron! Absolutely lovely, much like Suspira, & mine own Nocturna! Yes, FW was fun. However, the promoter doesn't know how to run these things, and so, it was reflected in the strangest places. For example, people say the attendence should have been higher. There were actually a TON of folks there, but the green promoter agreed to pay Robert Englund nearly $20K to appear, and made his money back (if he did) by ripping off attendees. Englund, and P.J. Soles were in a room that preceded the actual convention. Folks paid $25 to get into the show. Then, paid another $25 a piece to wait in lines to meet these 2 monumental actors (sarcasm intended). Then, that $25 a piece was only good towards waiting in their lines. An 8 x 10 cost another $20 a piece. So, by the time the Chicago sheep were fleeced, and they got to the REAL convention area, they had little, or no, money, and had no idea where to spend it, as there were many fine, and legitimate, celebrities to choose from. I intend to bring more of the HHU to this event next year. By the way, Ghastlee, Crowley, yourself, and I, were featured in a Chicago newspaper this week! 10 copies were sent to the Dungeon! :D |
