Today (Oct. 5) marks 12 years since the sweet, sensual voice of Eddie James Kendrick was forever silenced.
We here at Forever Temptin' pay tribute to his memory.

I thought of you today;
This is really nothing new.

I saw your smile and heard your voice
That took me back to;

To the day I remember first hearing you,
Those vocal sweet tones with flair;

I was thrilled, I felt chills-
Mesmerized; your voice alone took me there.

Even now, as I listen,
I experience each word you sing.

The way you interpreted those lyrics and melodies
Always amazes but is never surprising.

For you were a man of great talent and poise;
Always carried yourself with class

I guess that's why we all love, respect,
And miss you, more, as the days pass

It is quite bittersweet in actuality;
Saddened that you were called home so soon,

Realizing it was that time for you;
But grateful for all the memories and tunes.

You are now singing with the Angels,
You have to know you gave us your all.

I hope you are resting soundly, peacefully
And have reunited with your soul brother, Paul.
