![]() Upon being awakened by the glorious sunshine... |
![]() ... we often enjoyed a trip to Stubb's Falls, which happened to be a short hike from our campsite. |
![]() Here is where the Little East River winds down from Arrowhead Lake over a large rocky outcropping... |
![]() ... dropping about 20 meters through a series of rapids or small waterfalls. |
![]() It was fun to swim in the pool at the foot of the falls, pushing against the torrent of water that was expelled from the heights above. |
![]() But the most enjoyment resulted from the three meter rock slide into one of the large steps in the middle of the falls. |
![]() The best way to cool off, was to climb into one of the steps... |
![]() ...ease under the cascade... |
![]() ... and let the water blast over you. |
![]() In the afternoon, you would often find us at one of the sandy beaches on Arrowhead Lake.. |
![]() .. relaxing in the sun... |
![]() ... enjoying the scenery ... |
![]() ... digging around in the sand ... |
![]() ... waging naval battles ... |
![]() ... and touring around the lake in the canoe. |
