Dumbeldore is considered a great man by many. He discovered the 12 uses of dragon's blood and is the greatest headmaster hogwarts has ever seen. He is a constant watcher over harry's wellbeing, and plays a dynamic role in the outcome of this legendery series. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, my heart was breaking when Dumbeldore was crying and explaning to Harry all about his past. I hope that the new Dumbeldore will be able to live up to the man that we all know, love and respect.in memory and tribute to Richard Harris :)

Harry Potter, we know him as the ultimate protagonist as he defeats all evil to perserve the values of loyalty,trust,companionship,and bravery. The tragic losses he had when he was a child, give him strength and courage to always follow the path that is destined for him, even if it may be a difficult route. I see darker days in Harry's life, He will have to make ultimate decisions and probably sacrifice everything, including himself to save the people he loves.Harry is a lot like James in a way,but also very different.In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix I was shocked how Harry resented his father.When Lupin and Sirius tried to explain, Harry just got more upset.I feel that Harry is overestimating James.Harry may be only 15, but to him, acting childish and ignorant is no longer an option.I think that with each time that Harry encounters Voldemort, it has taken a little bit of his childhood away, and pushed him one step closer towards adulthood.Though Harry is still an adolescent boy,I think he is too mature for his age because he has gone through so many tramatic expereinces.Until Voldemort is dead, I feel that Harry will never be "normal" enough to lead a healthy life. In the prophecy it stated that one must kill the other for the other to live and untill Harry kills Voldemort he will never be able to live the life he could and should have.

Ron is considered Harry's best friend. They can talk about almost anything. Harry's relationship with Ron differs from that of Hermiones, but it is not in a bad way. As the saying goes, "boys will be boys" Harry and Ron love getting into mischief and avoid being caught. Ron's family is harry's favorite people, because they all like him. Ron's mother sorta takes a parental role in Harry's life (even though Harry has\had a godfather named Sirius)without Ron, Harry wouldn't be the same person and i think that J.K Rowling will show us the impact of their realtionship. I also want to note that I was totally estatic when I read how Ron was going to be the new Gryffindor Keeper!!! It is FINALLY his chance to show up Harry, as Harry was banned from Quidditch.
As usual, the girls are always labeled the pratical, and serious type. Yet this is not the complete personality for Hermione at all. Though she loves reading and following the rules, in desperate times her best qualities are reveled and we can see her as the kind and loyal person that she really is. Growing up with muggles, and learning as a witch can make her life more complicted, especially when people try to discrminate against her,but hermione knows that what is in your heart matters most. I also want to add, that the relationship between Ron and Hermione may change and I HOPE that J.K Rowling lets something "romantic" happen between the two of them.

Dean is a muggle born wizard who shares his dormitory with Harry. His best friend is Seamus. Dean is not really considered to be a huge charcter in the HP series, but i wanted to include him on here, because he is a Gryffindor and is mentioned every once in a while.
Seamus is a halfblood wizard who is a Gryffindor too. His best friend is Dean. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix I was really mad at Seamus, because he was being a real jerk for not believing that Harry was telling the truth. It took me a long while to realize, that even if you think you know someone well, things like the media or the people closest to you such as parents can have a big influence over what you think is right\wrong. In Seamus's case he was listening to the Daily Prophet, and his mum instead of listening to Harry. Though Seamus did end up in believing that Harry was right he still had to learn the hard way that you must come up with your own opinions and ideas and to not let other people decide them for you.
Neville is a pure blood gryffindor wizard that many might call foolish. In the prior books in this series, Neville always seemed to lack confidence which interfeard with his skill in magic. Neville was always afraid and getting into trouble and was constantly teased and ridiculed. Yet in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Neville steps up, and shows us exactly the type of wizard he was all along. Neville's past is very similar to that of Harrys. Both lost their parents to Voldemort's wrath in one way or another. Neville lives with his strict grandmother who constantly tells him how he is not as good a wizard as his father. Neville is very insecure and needs extra encouragement. Neville takes action and is equal to Harry in bravery terms etc. Neville and Harry share a prophcy and i think that this bond will keep them closer then ever. I now consider Neville to be as important as Ron or Hermione. He has earned my respect and will coutinue to evolve into the kind of person he really is inside.

Oliver Wood is considered by many a total hottie!!!! :) I don't know what it is, but this Scottish boy has won the hearts on many adolescent teen girls myself included. Ok I have to stop obsessing over Sean that won't get me anywhere. For those of you who do not know, Oliver Wood is played by none other then SEAN BIGGERSTAFF. Oliver Wood is Quidditch Captain and Keeper of the Gryffindor team. Though he leaves Hogwarts in Harry's third year (sigh) we meet up with him again at the Quidditch World Cup. I am very dissapointed as i heard some rumors, that Quidditch may be eliminated from the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban movie. Though I understand that Quidditch is not the most important part of this book I still feel it very important to include it because it is the first year that Gryffindor has won the Cup. I don't know if these rumors are true. I guess we will have to wait untill JUNE 2004 to know for sure.
Draco is a pureblood Slytherin as we all know. Harry and Draco have been enemies ever since Harry's first year. Over the years, Draco has suceeded in tormenting and harassing Harry in countless ways. In my opinion, Draco Malfoy is the worst kind of bully there is. All Malfoy cares about is making fun of muggle-borns, tormenting Gryffindors, and being an obnoxius pain in the butt. Many of my friends consider Draco Malfoy to be a "cutie" as he is played by Tom Felton but i have to polietly disagree and tell them that they are out of their minds. Draco stinks and I am glad that his father is in Azkaban.

Dobby is one of the best charcters ever. Besides worshipping Harry, he has turned up at valuable times to help Harry as much as he can. There would have been no way, that Harry would have been able to complete the second task in the Triwizard Tournement w\o Dobby's help. Dobby also helped Harry find the perfect place to meet with his DA group. Dobby is a great elf who has morals and never lets other people mistreat him now that he is free.
Ever since Sirius died, I have been trying to come up with who Harry can now confide in. I have reached two conclusions. They are Hagrid and Dumbeldore. Hagrid was the one who rescued Harry from his aunt and uncle's house and brought him to the magical world which he now knows and loves. Hagrid has tried to teach Harry as much as he can about wizards and magic and Harry therefore considers Hagrid as a loyal and devoted friend. Hagrid is a half-giant and has a love for vicous animals. Yet Hagrid's demeanor is very kind and gentle. I know that Hagrid would never want anything bad to happen to Harry but he should be careful. When I read about Hagrid's brother Gwarp I was scared that Hagrid might lead Hermione and Harry into danger. Though I consider Hagrid to be a loyal friend to Harry, he should exercise a bit more caution when exposing him to certain creatures.....especially 20 feet high GIANTS.

Professor McGonagall is the very strict Gryffindor Head of House. Though in the past, she has been a bit severe with Harry regarding rule breaking, I feel that she more then makes up for it in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. In this book, McGonagall struggles against Umbridge but says that she will make sure that Harry becomes an Auror. I was sooo happy then because I though it was a really nice thing to say. Also, I think McGonagall is a very strong and powerful witch because she was able to surivive 5 stunners. I am glad that she made a full recovery and hope that she countinues to mentor her students and prepare them for the furture that awaits them.

I cannot even keep count the amount of times I want to smack Professor Snape for his cruel and horrible behavior that he targets on Harry and Neville.Though he is a member of the Phoenix I still don't think he is trustworthy. Dumbeldore has some mystrious reason for believing that he is good but I don't. If Snape was soo good, then why did he refuse to teach Harry Occumelcy when Dumbeldore specificlly told him too??? Snape was always jealous of James, But he should not take it out on Harry and endanger his life for not teaching him how to defend himself.



Sorry Guys, there is no pic yet for Sirius but as soon as I find one, I will add it asap. Sirius Black was in my opinon one of the most parental to Harry. Sirus was James's best friend and therefore knew tons about him that Harry never knew. It makes me sad to think how Harry keeps getting disapointed as soon as he can find someone to confide in. Sirius's death has greatly affected Harry, and will change the way Harry acts in the future. Note when I read that Sirius died, it was about 5:30am and I was crying a lot. I thought I was going crazy how blunt J.K Rowling told you his fate, but no there it was in black and white. To J.K Rowling, if you ever plan on killing off any more major characters please do so in a more tactful way because I thought it was a bit harsh.

Ginny Weasley, we know her as Ron's little sister. Ginny has not had a major role up unitll now. I am really glad she is now a major character because Harry needs more girls in his life (not in a romantic way of course but as friends). I was really psyched when Ginny was the new Gryffindor Seeker, but I am glad that she wants to play Chaser and not try to take Harry's place. I predict Ginny will have more impact on the next book and look forward to whatever comes next.

Fred and George are two of my favorite characters. They are the ultimate rulebreakers and their pranks are wildly legendary. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix they have a bigger part to play in. I wish them great sucess in thier jokeshop career, and hope to learn more about their future outside of Hogwarts.
