- Message from the Communications Committee
by Ingelbert Lievaart IIOur second newsletter is finally complete. We have twice as much advertising and our membership is over eighty. It is nice to see the HRABA growing so rapidly and the enthusiasm is spreading. Warm weather is quickly approaching as we enter our first spring together. Things have been going quite well for me and I find myself having trouble keeping up with the demand. I’m going to close down my studio limiting my photography to weddings, environmental portraiture, free-lance journalism and in home family portraiture. This will free up my schedule for my watercolour painting in the Hamilton road area. Along with these changes I also plan to step down as Chair of Communications, giving me more time to spend on the Newsletter.
I’ve been working closely with Ana Tirolese lately, and also with Penny Picton, they’ve helped me with my communications duties and make quite a good team. They’ve agreed to take over for me in a Co-chair position. Penny’s East Side Story office is a perfect environment and her popular community newspaper will be an asset to this position. You will read all about Ana in my article about her and you’ll agree on her value in this position as well. I wish to thank everyone in the association for your help and friendship, I learned a lot from you all.
