Finally made it out to this one. On a beautiful late afternoon Richard and I paddled our kayaks 6 miles round trip from Blimp Rd launch site. Saw lots of birds and fish. Cache was easy find even though I forgot my paperwork. 3 hour round trip paddle, but very nice. Took German Geocoin and will move it back home to Indiana for further travels. I will log it separately. TFTC.

We rented a boat, and the 9 of us headed out to the island. After a short walk over a couple bridges, we found the cache, only to discover that it had just been found earlier that day. Thought we heard those people say something about "cache" when we passed them on the trail. Didn't take anything but left a few new things to fill the cache and secured the container a little better. Nice spot.

We waited till almost sunset to go hunting for this one. When we landed, we were blocked by a natural barrier. We tried going around one way, but to shallow for a Jon Boat filled with 5 people out on a three hour tour. We checked going around the other way but decided to beach at the next opportunity that came along. After finding a well defined path we came upon another natural obstacle that I was able to navigate safely. The motley crew following me were a little more appenhensive about the tight rope walk, but managed. As we approached GZ and Mt. Tarpon I had them look around but to no avail. So I showed them what to look for (ground camo), and they had the cache in hand soon. I came prepared for exchanging the broken container with a new, fully stocked, new logbook container. After checking to make sure the pen still worked, I placed a German Geocoin into this revived cache. I had p/u this geocoin in Bonaire 2 weeks ago while diving the world's best sites. I hope this prize will make the next cacher think about retrieving this coin so that it may continue on it's travels. I have the old weathered logbook and will be happy to send to the owner if requested. My crew ( all geocaching virgins) thought this was really cool and will be checking how many caches are in there zip codes soon. Cache now contains geobuttons, key chain, green froggy thing, a bottle opener, and a partridge in a pear tree. TFTH.

We anchored the boat off the west side of the island and hiked over to the cache. We had been on this island several years ago but did not see the cache site on that visit. After enjoying the breeze and view for a few minutes we searched for the cache. I finally found it … it was completely covered. The top of the container had a large hole and the logbook and other contents were very wet. I signed the log as best I could and replaced it. The pen in the cache still worked … a tribute to Papermate. This is a great geocache location, we enjoyed the exploration. CharlieP, PatP, ScooterP, and RickP – Marietta GA
