2. John Hugg Jr. ¹ ( John ) was born ² in 1665 in County Wexford, Ireland. He died ^{3 , 4 , 5 , 6} in 1730/1731 in New Jersey, United States. John sold property ^{7 , 8} on 1 Sep 1703 in Racoon Creek. He was employed as State "Councillor[sic]," and was a member of "Council of Proprietors"  ^{9 , 10 , 11} from 9 Apr 1716 to Jun 1731 in New Jersey.

John married ^{2 , 3 , 4} (1) Priscilla Collins ¹ , daughter of Francis Collins and Sarah Mayham, on 13 Dec 1688, possibly in Gloucester County, New Jersey. Priscilla was born ^{5 , 6} on 25 Dec 1669 in Ratcliff Stephney, Middlesex, London, England. She died ⁷ on 23 Jul 1714 in Gloucester Co., NJ.

They had the following children:

				Mary also married 2 (2) Thomas Lippincott 1 about 1722.

John also married ^{2 , 3} (2) Elizabeth (nee Wood) Newby ¹ , daughter of Henry Wood and Hannah Yokley, on 23 Jul 1714 in Newton Twp., Gloucester Co., NJ. Elizabeth was born ⁴ on 9 Jan 1681/1682 in Newport, Newport Co., RI. She died ^{5 , 6} before 17 Apr 1731.

John also married (3) Mercy Allen ¹ , daughter of Mathew Allen and Rachael French, probably somewhere near 1710. Mercy was born on 13 Mar 1691/1692 in Burlington Co., New Jersey. She died ³ on 17 Feb 1754 in Middleton, NJ.
