On the ship---
There's a huge storm on the ship where Gon is. Waves comes from everywhere as well as lightning. The ship moves in every direction. Many people topple over as the ship moves around.
Mate 1--Captain! There's a hole in the ship!
Captain--ARGH! Why don't you use the asses of all those useless passengers to stop the water from getting in?
A huge wave comes again with a much greater force then the ones before
Captain--Let's go!!! Hold on! We're gonna lift!
The wave hits the boat and the boat flies off. Passengers, food, barrel, rope, anything which wasn't attached starts flying everywhere in every direction. Suddenly, the sun comes up and a dolphin jumps out of the water. The captain smokes a bit and speaks
Captain--We've gotten nice little waves
Mate 2--Damn right!
Captain--So... How are they this year?
Mate 2--Same as last year's, they're almost dying!
After saying that we see what the mate said! People are on the floor bleeding, other are sitting with their mouths open trying to breath. One of them is stuck on a pillar on the roof. There's blood, and vomit on the ground with people coughing everywhere.
Captain--Well, it's not a training for wussies... And they want to become Hunter? Let me laugh!
The captain notices something and turns his head around. A young boy is running around with something in his hand! The young boy is Gon and is running to the "dead" people trying to make them feel better. He reaches one of them in agony and says
Gon--Here! It's water! If you chew this herb, you'll feel better!
Dead men 1--AHHH! Thank you!
Gon runs along going to different people and we see someone in a hamac sleeping. This person seems to do fine, then we see a man, "reading" a dirty magazine.
Captain--Well, well, would we have some mates more resistant than the rest?
We see birds, hawking away while the boat keeps on moving
Captain--Good job guys!You have two hours of rest, sleep well, the worst is still to come!
Mates--Yes!
The captain was walking on the deck and sees Gon. Gon was looking out into the sea with seagulls flying around him.
Captain--What's happening kid? It's now that you're seasick?
The seagulls screech and Gon speaks
Gon--There's going to be another storm. Even bigger...
Captain--Really? What makes you say that?
And see starts drinking.
Gon--There's a not cool and not hot wind, and the currents are strong! The seagulls also tells us to be careful!
Captain--But! Tell me kid, you understand what the seagulls say?
Gon--I don't understand everything but...
The captain thinks to himself --Wow!
He looks at Gon and suddenly he thinks of something! He sees a silhouette of a man behind him and looks at it in a surprised way.
Captain--... Kid!You're the one who came on the ship at whale island, right?
Gon--Yes
Captain--What does your father do in his life?
Gon--Hunter. I only saw him in photo though... but I have a lot of admiration for him!
Captain--I see *Captain thinking to himself* -- The day finally has come!
Captain--Would you be able to tell me when the storm will be here? and what will be its amplitude?
Gon--The waves will certainly be two times as much as they previously were. If we keep this speed, we should be in the eye of the storm in about 3 hours.
*Captain thinking to himself* --It's true! Only someone who has spent all of his days near the beach is able to make those kinds of previsions.
Captain--Follow me! I'll teach you some tricks to maneuver a ship!
Gon--Allright!
The captain opens the cabin door and lets Gon go through while looking at him.
Captain--If the wind on earth changes, there is a great risk that the storm will be there in less than two hours and a half. Until then, you'll have to keep in memory the essentials of maneuvering this ship. If you want to be a good Hunter, you'll have to know how to do everything!.
The captain goes to the intercom and switches it on.
Captain--We will be entering a turbulence zone two times more violent then the first one. For those who are scared for their lives, they should leave the ship using the safety boats, so that they could reach the closest island.
Everybody left the ship excepted for three people, the captain, and the mates. The wind started blowing and the captain spoke to the three people remaing.
Captain--So you're the only three left? Your names?
A tall man in a suit with a beard and glasses spoke first, "I am the one people call Leorio (Leolio in french)" The kid in the middle, short with a fishing rod in the left hand spoke second, "Me, it's Gon!" and the third one, Medium sized with some kind of cloak over him said, "My name is Kulapika (Kurapika in french).
Captain--Why do you wish to become Hunter?
Leorio--Pardon me? You're not an examinator, right?
Captain--Come on, answer!
Leorio--Why should we answer you?
Gon--I wanted to see what my father's job was like!
Leorio--Eh, kid don't go too fast! Who told you to answer? Don't you have any team spirit?
Gon--Well...I', giving my reason... What's so bad about that?
Leorio--You're not supposed to, that's all... For me it's a question of honour!
Kulapika--I agree with this guy.
Leorio--Eh! How old are you? Didn'y you learn to always respect you elders?
Kulapika--I prefer to not answer your unplaced questions instead of lieing to you! I think lying is more dishonouring than cupidity
Leorio--I AM LEORIO! MISTER LEORIO! HELLO??? ARE YOU LISTENING?
Kulapika--Saying the whole truth in front of people I just met... The reason which makes me want to become a Hunter are mine and are personal...
Leorio--...!!!
Kulaipka--This is why it's impossible to answer you in this place!
CAptain--All right! I see... In this case, i'll be asking you to leave this ship immediatly!
Leorio, Kulapika--What?
Captain--You still don't get it? The exam for the title of Hunter has already started!
Gon, Leorio, Kulapika--!!!
Meanwhile, huge waves were going on farther away from the ship. The boat was creaking from smaller waves.
Captain--I'm sure you don't ignore that there is as much people wanting to become Hunter as there are starts in the sky! For the reason of lack of time and place, it's impossible to judge the capacities of everyone! So we called on for people like me, to cream the candidates. So, with the exception of you three...All of the other passengers are already registered as disqualified by the grand jury. Even if they reached the area of the exam. The doors will be kept closed for them. If you want to know if you can try out the exam it all depends on my choice, so put your uneasiness away and answer my question!
Leorio, Kulapika-- ...
Kulapika-- I... I am the only survivor of the clan Kuluta... (Kuruta in french)
Captain-- !!
Kulapika--Fourteeen years ago, all of my close relatives were killed by a group of thiefs. It to capture the phantom brigade that I want to become Hunter.
Captain--Becoming a Hunter of the Black List?? The phantom brigade is in the class A. EVen the strongest Hunters will think twice before helping you! You into a certain and useless death!
Kulapika--I'm absolutely not scared of death! What i'm most scared of is that my rage will never end!
Captain--The captain simply looks at him
Leorio--In brief, you want to have your revenge... And you need to become Hunter for that?
Kulapika--That Leorio, is the dumbest question ever asked to me... If I DON'T become Hunter I won't have access to certain places, certain info, and certain movements. It's probably a detailwhich didn't go through your brain...
Leorio was mad now, but the captain spoke to him
Captain--Ok... And you, Leorio?
Leorio--Me?You know, finally you've got a good head and i'll answer you! I won't try "disguising" my explination, let's speak in honesty! MONEY! With money you could have everything! A huge house, and cool car, the best alcohol..
Kulapika--Sadly, you can't buy good manners, Leorio.
Leorio was really pissed now He looked at Kulapika in an evil look!
Leorio--It's the third time. Follow me onto the deck Kulapika. Let's make some of that "noble" blood of the "Kuluta" clan or something flow...
Kulapika--Take back what you said Leorio
Leorio-- "Mister Leorio" Come.
Kulapika--I'm following you.
Captain--Eh!!! I'm not done talking! Well, you don't want to pass my exam aymore?
Gon--Let's let them do it.
Captain--What?!
Gon--"If you want to know someone, start by finding what makes them really mad" My aunt Mito used to say that phrase which I like a lot. From my point of view, they both have good reasons to be pissed. It's better to let them do as they wish.
Captain--Hum...
Mate 3--Captain!!! The wind is blowing stronger then what we predicted!
Captain--!!
Thunder bolts were flying everywhere, and Kulapika, and Leorio was on the deck facing each other while, water was going on top of the boat. Windf was blowing and the mates were trying to put the sails down.
Mates--The boat is gonna tip over! Take the sails down!
Mate 4--FAST! The grnad mast is going to break!
Mate 5--COME ON!!!
Klapika--Present me your excuses and i'm going to accept them, Leorio.
Leorio--Start by excusing yourself Kulapika! I have no intention in coming back to what I said!
Captain--Good God! If one of them goes over the edge, it's going to be impossible to bring them back on board!
Gon-- Captain! Tell me what I could do!
Captain-- Allright! Come!
Kulapika--Let's go!
Leorio--I'm wainting for you!
Kulapika took out nuchaku's and ran towards Leorio. Leorio had a knife and was ready to take on Kulapika. Suddenly, one of the branch of the grand mast broke and it fell down. Many mates flew because of the sudden breakthrough. The branch came flying down and hit one of the mates, Catso, right in the face!
Kulapika, Leorio--!
Catso--OUTCH!
Catso flew over the edge while the boat was rocking. The mates all cried out his name and the Captain and Gon were surprised at what they saw!. Suddenly, inturrupting their combat, Leorio ran towards Catso. Kulapika looked at him in disbeief and Gon ran towards Catso tooKulapika started running too but was too late. Catso ws already over the water while Leorio and Kulapika was holding onto the railing so that they wouldn't fall over. Out of nowhere, Gon jumped and grabbed Catso's legs. With their reflexes, Leorio and Kulapika grabbed onto the Gon's legs and the pulled him in.
Mate 6--It's good! Grab onto the ropes!
Mate 7--PULL!
Mate 8--Take the wounded one!
Mate 9--Nice work kid!!
Mate 10--We all thank you kid!
Gon--Ouch! I hit my nose!
Kulapika and Leorio was looking at Gon in disbelief.
Kulapika--YOU'RE CRAZY OR WHAT"! THE SEA IS GOING CRAZY! THERE'S SUPER FAST CURRENTS AND YOU, YOU, WELL, IT'S VERY DANGEROUS!!!
Leorio--iF WE DIDN'T HOLD ONTO YOUR LEGS, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE END FOR YOU! dROWNING ASSURED!
Gon thinking--Giving me a moral while they were fighting just before...
Gon-- Yes, maybe, but you held me back no?
Leorio, Kulapika and the Captain all looked at Gon.
Leorio--Oh man! Yes well...
Leorio looked at Kulapika holding his chin and went, "...' (lol)Kulapika also looked at him and he spoke
Kulapika--Excuse my improperness, "Mister" Leorio.
Leorio--Come on, none of this between us, call me Leorio, Kulapika. It's more on my speaking that I should go back on...
Gon smiled and the Captain laughed.
Captain--HAHAHAHA! AHH! You kids please me! I'm in a very good humour today! I've decided to bring you three to the marina closest to teh exam area!
Gon--But... And your test?!
Captain--Let's forget all about that. Why don't you come with me so that I can teach you some moremaneuvering tips!
Gon--YEAH!!!
Kulapika and Leorio was sitting down on the deckwhile Gon was running towards the captain. The captain had a grin on his face and was looking at Gon.
