Comparison
Did you notice that some people in the manga resemble other people from other mangas/comics. Or other mangas/comics use the same type of character in their story? I will try putting as much of those in this section.
The thing compared to My reasons
Dragonball
Yoshihiro Togashi seems to enjoy Dragonball and Dragonballz because he uses a lot of scenes found in Dragonball in his manga.
  • The first one, I think you all noticed is in manga 1, when Gon is fishing to cath a huge fish. Coincidence, Dragonball's first manga started like that!!!
  • The second point is that in manga 6 ??? When Gon and Killua are in the fighting tower, Gon asks Killua if he did the door test at Killua's house. Gon aswers yes so Killua tells him to only push his opponent. This is like DB too!!! And to make it more alike, Yoshihiro draws a huge guy with people laughing at Gon... Gon pushes him and some people at the end says that those kids are monsters, just like DB?
  • Coming back to the door test thing, Remember when Krillin and Goku were training at Kamesenin's house, with those huge turtle shells? This is like Gon's, Kulapika's, and Leorio's training at the old man's house!!! Their goal was to push open the door, just like in DB where Goku, and Krillin's goal was to push a huge rock!
  • Do you remember the Freeza saga? Where when Frezza fights Goku and says, "alright, 50% of my power" then later, "100%!!!" Goku does not care and lets him do it. Do you remember Kulapika fighting Uvogine? Uvogine at some point is at 20% then 50% and later goes 100%
  • Another point is the Saiyan saga, where Goku fights Nappa. Remember when Goku was playing around with Nappa and Goku at some point jumps on Nappa's head and Nappa tries hitting Goku. Well the same thing happens while Kulapika and Uvogine fight.
  • One comparison which is harder to find is when Leorio is reading the newspaper talking about Mr.Battera. Well in the newspaper it says, "Nobody knows what is going to happen once the game is finished, maybe a giant dragon will appear and grants a wish, who knows?" Giant Dragon=Shenron
  • Something which may not be true is the fact that Hanzo is basically Krillin... Hanzo thinks he's all cool because he killed people at 12, and Krillin acts cool when he meets Kame-sennin. Hanzo has a bald head, mostly because he is a ninja? and because it's because he trains in a temple. Krillin is bald because it's easier to fight like that and because the monks at his temple makes it a tradition to shave the disciples' hair?
  • The biggest thing which came to me I think was when Gon and Hisoka are fighting in the tower. I mentionned the tower before but not this. After Hisoka begins to really fight Gon, Gon is used as a volleyball. Hisoka punches him? Then bumps him, and then kicks him? This is like DB where Tenshinhan yells then bumps, volleys, and smashes Goku.
  • Another imitation he makes of DB is when Killua uses the roatation of the body technique (The technique enabling you to appear at different places at the same time)In DB it's called Transpo
Yu-Gi-Oh
Ok. Sorry but I have to say this... Yu-gi-oh "copied" off Yoshihiro Togashi's other work, Yu Yu Hakusho in Yu-gi-oh manga 23? because in the blimp, you see a mysterious stranger in a cape which predicts the future. In manga 3 of Yu Yu Hakusho, Botan is dressed as a fortune teller and you can only see her eyes. She also has a crystal ball... Weird no?
Yu Yu Hakusho
In Hunter X Hunter, there is a Hunter exam and in Yu Yu Hakusho their is also an exam to see who's going to be the disciple of the old lady (Manga 3-4). It's pretty much alike... The lottery is the before exam (The boat and the storm) The games are Gon and the rest going to the old lady's village and being asked a question. The following of the old lady is the going to the tree part of Hunter X Hunter.
Nausicaa
  • In the series Hunter X Hunter, Yoshihiro-san also took the Omus's ability to change their eye colors when they are mad. (Kulapika, remember...) I don't think I have to say anymore...
  • The author also used one thing from the end of the story of Nausicaa. This, is you can remember is the piano the King's sons play. They find a music piece and decide to play it on the piano, suddenly, they are in a field with the music book in front of them. This piano and its music is very much like Senritsu's flute! The other thing which enters the same category is that in Shuwa's garden, everything is peacful, relaxing and fun. When Senritsu plays a note of a special tune you can feel relaxed and other feelings. So Yoshihiro Togashi, used the flute and the garden's power in his manga.
Shaman King
Shaman king "copied off" Yu Yu Hakusho! Did you notice Bokuto No Ryu always gets his hair cut... and always gets beaten up in the first part of the manga? (If you didn't notice that, you're a dumbass...) Well, in Yu Yu Hakusho someone resembles him. This person is Kuwabara!!! If you look closely, Kuwabara has a strand of hair like Bokutu but smaller. He also gets beaten up a lot...
