We want to hear about you and your Country. So please
come and give a talk at any one of the monthly talks that take place
all year round for the Angel Charity Foundation.
The INTERNATIONAL ANGEL ASSOCIATION was established
in Itami, Hyogo-ken, in 1982 and now branches all over Japan. It
is a non-religious voluntary organization serving humanity, peace
and friendship.
Its slogan is “LOVE OVER THE WORLD”
Money is raised by monthly donation and by a series
of events held throughout the year. These include charity concerts,
international exchange festivals and a series of jumble sales, notable
a giant twice a year “Charity Bazaar” held at the organization’s
headquarters in Itami. The purpose of the association is to extend
assistance to people in developing countries, namely Bangladesh.
The Angel Charity is a grassroots organization, rooted
in Japan by Japanese people, to help Bangladesh people. Also, about
2000 women volunteer to support overseas programs in the Philippines,
Cambodia, and Siera Leone.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
Funds raised by the Angel Charity go towards handicapped
centers in Japan, and some goes towards developing nations in South
East Asia. The majority, however, goes the Bangladesh.
In Bangladesh, donations from Japan have served:
*To build a children’s home ( Angel Home – SHISHU SADAN).
In this home, more than 70 % of children are provided with food,
clothing and an education.
*To build a technical training center (Woman Welfare Center) where
rural living women are instructed in tailoring, hand crafts and
typewriting skills, enabling them to become more self-sufficient.
*There is also the Agriculture Training Center that provides training
in Agriculture, Poultry and Dairy farming.
*Education support to more than 3000 students in also provided.
*To construct tube-wells and toilets in schools.
Now that you know what the International Angel Foundation
does. Why not come and give a movie star talk about your country.
Many university students attend these talks which will allow you
to meet people on your own wave length. Come oooooonn. Ya know ya
wanna…..
