In Hamasaka, get off the train and turn left (facing downtown). I
believe the road curves around toward "Sun Beach" - the
ground will be very flat and you want to head to that flat area directly
in between two peaks! It`s about a 15 minute walk from the station.
We will be hard to miss, right on the beach.
If you need a ride, get lost, or have trouble, call Sabine on 090-5672-7069
By Car: (from the south):
Take either the 312 (slow!) or the Bantan Toll Highway (expensive)
up to Wadayama. If you are on the Bantan, please follow the signs
off the ramp to the 312. You`ll want to go North towards downtown
Wadayama after you get off. If you are already on the 312, just stay
on it until you get to Wadayama.
When you see the Jusco be prepared to turn left onto Highway 9. The
intersection is pretty confusing - it`s the one with the McDonalds
on the corner. Turn left onto Highway 9 towards Yabu/Yoka. This road,
after about an hour and a half or so, will take you almost right into
Hamasaka. If you think you`ve gone too far, you probably haven`t (unless
you`re in Tottori ken!) Hamasaka is the next town after Onsen town
(a great place to stop for an onsen or to boil eggs in the hot springs
downtown!) - follow the signs, it`s pretty clear.
Once on the main road, follow the signs to the Yakuba (town hall).
Keep going along the road that the town hall is on - you should be
going away from the mountains - you will see a flat area framed by
two large hills - that`s the beach (Sun Beach) - the road will hit
a T intersection - you can go either direction, just know that the
forest right in front of you is the campground, so you want to end
up on the other side of that! |
