friends at Suma Beach"
Transport & Directions

From Himeji: Take the shinkaisoku to Akashi, then transfer to a local train. Suma is about 15 minutes away. Cost: about 800 Yen

From Kobe: Take the local train to Suma. It will take about 20 minutes. Cost: not sure, maybe around 300 Yen

From Suma station: Exit onto the beach and turn left. Walk for about 10 minutes, past the beachside vendors, until you reach the covered patio. We'll be sunning ourselves there. view map,

Bring with you: Beach stuff (swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, frisbee/football, umbrella, etc), plenty of refreshing beverages, snacks and food ready for the BBQ.

Note: There is little in the way of grocery or convenience stores near the station, so come prepared!
