Superboy # 65
NOTE: This review will only cover the first eight pages of Superboy
# 65, since the rest of the issue doesn't concern itself with Hypertime.
PLOT
- As the issue opens, we see Michael "Booster Gold" Carter telling his
employees -- the employees of the theme restaurant Planet Krypton --
that PK is closing temporarily. . . for "renovation." The employees
walk out, leaving Carter and a mysterious stranger alone in the restaurant,
when. . .
- . . . the Hypership from last issue crashes into Planet Krypton!

- Superboy and the Challengers of the Unknown emerge from the ruined
ship, to find Carter and the mysterious stranger -- now seen as Rocky,
one of the original Challengers. As Superboy and the Challs try to explain
what's happened to them, they discover that one of the Challengers --
June -- has apparently been replaced by a June from another Hypertimeline,
probably a result of the Hyperstorm the group travelled through to get
back home.
- "Carter" reveals himself to be Rip Hunter of the Linear Men -- Carter's
silent partner -- and offers the use of Planet Krypton's sub-basement
as a Hypertime headquarters. Armed with the the basic understanding
of Hypertime, and a sample of Hyperium -- both given them by Metron
-- the Challengers decide to study -- and explore -- Hypertime. The
Challs offer to make Superboy a member of their group, but he turns
it down -- he has to go save his job at Project Cadmus!
