is 1100, I think it is pretty similar to the
5100. It is configured with a P4 2.0 ghz
with 512 RAM. I had 1 gig of RAM, but one
module died after 3 months which I attribute
to the heat. In addition, my harddrive temp

shutdown though. Upon reading here, I
decided that blowing air via the ducting
would only be a short term fix. The dust
wont fully exit the ducting. I went a step

has a similar problem. This machine was
marketed for less than a year and pulled due
to the problems, leaving Dells existing
owners in limbo. The souloution for this
machine involves removing the chip set, and

would immediately go up to 73C within just a
few minutes, and would shutdown. After
applying the solution, my idle temps are
around 34C, and my max. temp is 59C.

they rectify the problem, by doing
something...not sure what yet, but
something, then perhaps. otherwise,
definately no. No action on their part will
definately be their conscious choice to lose
at least this customer.
