Chris Sorensen Biography
|
|
Since coming to Washington State University, Chris has worked hard for the Students of WSU. After moving into Orton Hall his freshman year,
Chris became involved in hall government
|
and working on projects with the residents of Orton Hall. Chris has also been active in his fraternity, Psi Upsilon. During his time there
he has been involved as the Fraternity Educator and other positions. Outside his living group involvement, Chris has been dedicated to the needs of students off-campus serving the capacity of
Director of the Housing Commission. During his tenure at the Housing Commission, Chris doubled the number of students served and was a member of the Pullman Chamber of Commerce Rental Committee.
His involvement with the committee helped to make better relations with students and landlords and make information about housing off-campus more available. In other areas of service, Chris was the Director
of Student Legal Services. Chris is still working for Student Legal Services indirectly as he is working for increased service capabilities and bringing on more hours for students to see the attorney. Within the Executive
Branch of ASWSU, Chris is the current Budget Director and has a busy spring ahead in planning for the 2000-2001 budget for ASWSU.
Chris has also chaired the Presidents Committee on Issues of Diversity and has been working
with students to define the rolls of the committee and what purpose it will serve for the campus.
Outside of his involvement, Chris is a big basketball fan and coaches at Cougar Cage Camp in the summers here in Pullman. He also
enjoys spending time with his fraternity brothers and enjoys working harvest at home when time provides. After graduation
he plans to pursue a career in athletics in either administration or coaching.
